What's the word on Mats? Last I heard he was practicing, but that's it.

This is a must win for Chicago tonight, if they loose at home and go down 3-1 to a damn expansion team I think they are fucked. I hope Kane (goal) the other night withstanding REALLY needs to step it up to put some more punch in that line.

Why do the Blackhawks always have to be involved in games like these? Is it because they hate their fans? That must be it.

I was a Whalers fan growing up actually - I only lived 30 minutes or so from the civic center so I went to a ton of games. Had nothing to do with the original 6 at all. I lived 2 towns over from Jeremy Roenick and played pick up games with him at a local rink so when the Whalers skipped town the Hawks were the logical team to cheer for.

    Ok just wondering.

Also, fuck ESPN. You have a NHL double OT game under the damn French Open on your home page

Yeah, one of the things I already know and love about Keith and Seabrook is that they are machines, but you have to worry about exhaustion. Especially after multiple games with multiple overtimes. And there's not a lot of relief... Cumiskey looked better last game than he did the one before, but don't know if I'd trust him with more in terms of minutes. And God bless Kimmo Timmonen and the love I have for him, but he's pretty much a liability whenever he's out there.

Still, if anyone can pull it off, it's the Hawks.

Oduya is playing well too and Hjalmarsson is is one of the best penalty killers in the league. I think our D is in pretty good shape actually, night off today will help Keith and Seabrook very much too - also happy Kane stepped it up a notch for the first time this series.

Yeah didn't even mention Hammer because he's the one I'm least worried about. So solid and dependable, and plays in a way that will allow him to munch more minutes if called upon. Love his efficient style. Even playing on a big market, high recognition team like the Hawks, he remains underrated as one of the better stay at home D men in the league

Agreed, he is a rock. Hopefully the Hawks can keep him for a while longer because Keith and Seabrook cannot keep playing at this level forever.

Some defense 101 lessons for the "deepest" defense in the league: always have someone in front of the net.

Well, here we are again. Rangers season on the line. No room for error.

Being a Rangers fan is frustrating. I know this team has shown time and time again they are hard to knock out, but I hate being in this position. Coming off a game like last night, it is hard to see them winning back to back games against Tampa. Home ice has meant nothing except for game 7's. Hopefully they can force one.

For all those who may want Tampa to win this series, may I remind you that the last time Tampa made the finals the NHL broke and needed an entire year to reset. Hockey God doesn't want Tampa in the finals!

I am sincere in believing Tampa will break the NHL again if they win the cup!

Rangers are frustrating. I wouldn't be surprised if they still win this series...but I could also see them losing in six after that performance last night. Also, every time I doubt this team they win, so why would I change that formula haha.
