Here’s my Cleo (I did not name her).
She’s pretty shy, but follows me around like my shadow.
Likes to nap in the sun and play with toys.

My first adult pet was my cat, Stella. Stella passed away a few years ago, but she was pretty awesome. Loved to sit up and beg for food like a dog.

This is the story of our newest cat, from a year and a half ago, as posted on my FB:

And now, I will tell you the story of our new cat, DB Cooper.

When Alex and I came back from my dear friend Seth's wedding, we had a brief time before going back upstate. A few days after July 4th, I wake up to a note on the bedroom door that says "do not open. cat." Well, we already have a cat, so that's weird... so I got the story from Jason, my best friend and housemate. Apparently, this cat followed him for ONE MILE to our home, and when Alex opened the door, he ran right in.

So naturally, we put up "found cat" signs, and went to no kill shelters, but all was futile on those ends (people called saying they found cats that were similar... what?). Then he was brought to the vet, where we found he was not chipped, and obviously not collared, but was about 5yo.

So we brought this little bastard up to Westport with us because Alex's parents might want a new cat. Then they realized their dog would probably eat him and said "whoops, sorry, no can do". Fair point.

So Alex decides he'll be happier here, despite him and our cat Niña not really getting along (they've reached an accord since), and named him DB Cooper. If you don't know who DB Cooper is, look him up... I'll wait.

... but the funny thing is that Cooper's patterns on his back look like a penis, so Alex said that the DB stands for "DickButt".

And that's the story of DB Cooper, our new cat.

I have a quirky kid. He likes to wear socks for gloves.
(Not outside of course!).

And fluffy cats - my Stella was fluffy. She couldn’t maintain keeping up with her fur though, near the end.

Big fan of cats. We consider ourselves dog people but couldn’t have one at our apartment so wife brought home a cat one day. I was meh on the idea but he’s my buddy now. Greets people at the door, likes belly rubs, begs for treats, loves to hangout on the porch in the summer. Cool dude

It’s true... Majesty was the last kitty at the adoption place we went to. And they had just had an open house with 12 other cats adopted. I’m so glad she was left behind because she really is an awesome kitty

Here’s a pic my bonus mom sent me of one of their house panthers getting a bird in the snow. He and his brother spend all day outside, and come in at night. Sweet boys.
