    Kimpton, Sonesta, Holiday Inn are all decent. Quieter as they are not 'downtown'. The area near UVA Hospital is downtown and there are a bunch of bars and hotels, will be louder at night and such.

    As for flying into, RIC will be your closest (1:15 hours) and IAD will be your second best bet (2 hours away).

    I haven't been to Cville in 7 years. I've been painting Cville as this east coast Mecca to my wife. 2016 show was her first drunk text from me, leading to our first date. Coming full circle now!

    Upper Level seats awful or not too bad? Trying to decide what to request and also not break the bank TOO much. If I should just go for pit/lowers/floor, tell me. I'll bite the bullet.

    Yea, tbh, I was hoping the announcement was post-Gorge. So, I could save the 3-400$ charge. Wife's financial responsibility was lost somewhere around MSG last year and we probably didnt need to stall on a room. But we just secured one within 2ish miles so were g2g now

    Have some great memories from previous DMB shows at this venue - Lumineers opening in 2012 and hearing all of AFTW. The epic 25th anniversary show with several song debuts. 2018 Ants Marching with Preservation Hall was legendary.

    Thanks to this website, have had a room booked for some time now, thanks Ants.

    JPJ is a smaller arena, 14k or so. No bad seats...uppers are better than most lawns, yet more expensive.
