Back up the street from Lakewood, this time in Alpharetta again.

Skipped last year because it was at Lakewood. Love love love Alpharetta. Can’t wait for our annual trip to ATL!

Damn, bummed it’s on a Tuesday night. Tough sell these days to get the wife out to weeknight concerts with her work schedule, may need to see if a friend can go (don’t have many local who are into DMB or weeknight shows these days either) or maybe skip it this year. Even if she’s down she won’t quit work early so stuck in weekday hell traffic getting up there for east Atlanta (or downtown if we leave from the office) vs. Lakewood that’s way closer for us (though a much worse venue).

Yep. That’s what I’ll be doing. Might have a few friends that will join but either way my ass is at that show. Alpharetta is the best place to see the band in the area no question.

I'd really love for them to reverse the trend of Alpharetta always being during the week vs. Lakewood always being on the weekend.

Why stop there? Just dump Lakewood permanently.

Ideally I'd like to see Alpharetta get 2 nights each year even if it's a weekday 2 nighter. I mean Charleston and Wilmington are getting 2 nights. The Atlanta area should be the souths 2 nighter.

Looks like we'll be hitting up this venue for the first time this year since there's no CLT. Won't have a ton of time since it's a weeknight. Looks like smaller sized amphitheater is that correct? Any decent places nearby for food and drinks before the show?

7,000 seats; typical for an amp

5,000 lawn tickets; much fewer than a typical amp (usually 12,000ish for a cookie cutter amp)

Haven't seen DMB since 2016, and then D&T in Alpharetta in '17. Kinda been saying I'd go again if they went back there since I'm 10 miles away vs the 35 to Lakewood, so yeah this could be the year.

Oh definitely compared to Lakewood being a ways from anything decent. Downtown Alpharetta a few miles north is a real cool little downtown with lots of good places, but there's also a big mall closer to the venue so there's just a ton of stuff all around. It's smack in the middle of the suburbs.

Lakewood 2022 was the best Lakewood show I've seen by them. I arrived at 5:30, had zero traffic, was only in a little after the show, the concourses weren't overflowing with people all show, and we got Dreaming Tree. A big win. I of course prefer Alpharetta but the last Lakewood show was an excellent experience.

They sold Alpharetta out in 2021, they need to just do two mid week shows there.
