Looks fun. Love me some backyard games. Question though, is this the bro-iest of all bro games? I saw a lot of backwards caps, top knots and tanks. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But where are the girls?

Watching the elite guys is amazing. In a tournament my fiance and I got matched up against the #2 college team in the southeast. Those guys were incredible and way too good for us. It takes a while to work up to that level.

As far as girls there are a few in our area that play but the tournaments are about 90% guys.

If anyone is considering getting a set to start playing don't buy the off brand versions. The nets suck. Get the official spikeball kits. If you have the cash get the pro kit. They are $100 but the quality of play is so much higher.

Looks awesome. Wouldn't little touch soft shots work better? Lots of those spikes in the highlights go real high and the other team has time to save.

Yes little touches work great when you can get them. You have to be careful though because if it hits the net twice you lose the point.

    Re: Spikeball

I've played it once. I didn't enjoy it all that much. Don't expect to be making plays like those guys in the highlight video. I think that's kind of the problem though. Unless those types of near impossible plays happen, the points usually happen without too much drama. I'm sure if you play with a group of highly skilled players it's more exciting, but for casual play it I didn't find it very exciting.

For casual yard games, I'd rather play bags, KanJam, or ladder ball.

I've heard of cornhole. Hillbilly Golf is a new one for ladder ball. In the upper midwest I've actually heard it called Norwegian Golf.

    Re: Spikeball

Back in Ohio I've only heard it referred to as Cornhole and Hilbilly Golf.

Ive seen Cornhole out in California referred to as Bags.

Interesting how the same game gets called different things around the country.

I have always called it Bags, and most others do as well here in Iowa. Hillbilly Golf or Ladderball.. I've heard both

Polish Horseshoes has to be my favorite lawn game after bags
