I agree with you. People love to talk about the lack of variety on that tour, but that's the end of the days where that didn't matter to people going... the band was still mixing things up. The Stand Up album tour was the beginning of a different era for the band.

Haven't heard anything back from the Warehouse about a vinyl release. Surely it's coming though, they wouldn't forget the percentage of the fanbase that enjoys vinyl.

I can appreciate the completest outlook in getting material we don't have. For me, that's not enough in choosing one show over the other. I know that means a lot to people and that makes sense. It's cool to get a full catalog of the band's material. When I put on that SPAC show, it's goosebumps from the gate and that's what I want from a show. The first four songs on LT 43 are meh to me when they are piled together like that. I feel like I have I Did It PTSD from back in the day since that's the first DMB I loathed. The SPAC show doesn't have a dull moment.

I know I am being overly critical of the new LT and I don't know why I can't get hyped for it. This is me hitting myself over the head telling myself to stop
It's been a decade since we last got a full band 2004 release. I don't care if 7/27 isn't the literal best show of the tour. Nearly all the shows that year were fantastic and I'd be happy to get any one of them! Personally, Hershey 7/10 was my first show and I've come to terms that I'll probably never see a release of it. Atlanta is a very unique and worthy show, I'm super hyped.

First and foremost I wanted a '04 show with a Good Good Time, so I'm super pumped for this. I'm going to try and listen to LT2 and LT8 throughout the month in anticipation for this.

I mean it took them until 2016 to finally release the band's iconic MSG '02 show with James Brown. I wouldn't give up hope on them releasing 7/10/04 just yet. They know it's one of the most highly requested shows.

Was just about to say that this entire forum used to cry in unison for a 7/10/04 release, now only six pages in do I see a mention of it. Is it because the GGT from that night was on the Warehouse disc? Personally I don't know what makes the show any better from LT 2 or LT 8

Releasing that GGT has to account for a portion of it. Not exactly sure what that percentage is, but something has obviously diminished the demand for it.

I echo what others have said, I'd take 7-2 over 7-10.

Why does 43 have to be better than 2 or 8? 43 is a great show. Will it be the best 04 release to date? Maybe, maybe not. It's a great release from a great year for the band and one that hasn't had a release in a while.

It's not 100% clear, but it seems as though he was referencing 7-10-04 and not 7-27.

7/10/04 will always be my favorite show I've attended for sentimental reasons and just the overall flow and quality of the show. I don't care if there are better shows out there on paper.

That said, I also don't care to argue about the "best" 2004 show or whatever. All I care is that we're getting another '04 release at all, and that's awesome.

Rereading it I think he was referring to 7/10. My bad. I still would very much like 7/10 released for the bathroom break jam>crazy easy

I listen to the Crazy-Easy from 6.29.04 all the time - definitely one of the best versions

I support this release. I like 2004 too and it's surprising it's been 10 years since the last '04 show. Looking forward to giving this a listen.

You already have the highlight from that show anyway...I mean, I'm not gonna complain if its eventually released but I know that interest in having that show released went down once we got that GGT.

True, but the rest of the show the band is on fire (except for some lyric problems in WWYS). One of the best Improv jams into Crazy Easy. Warehouse opener. A rare '04 Space Between. Awesome prelude and lyrics for this Hello Again. More versions of the other '04 songs. The Stone. Classic Dave scat outro in Jimi Thing. Prelude to Grace. This show has so many great moments...

It's not that flashy of a set on paper, but the performances are great. Only duds setlist-wise are WAYG and (maybe) WTWE. But even this WTWE is unique with Dave's finger picking prelude.

I swear I made a poll about this after the WH disc was released, if people still wanted 7/10/04 if they only wanted GGT.

I can't find it on Ants search or Google but I know I made it

7/10/04 was one of those shows that came up in nearly every wishlist-type thread for over a decade. Some fans say it's overrated, a lot of fans say they want it released. The hype has diminished since we get that GGT released a couple years ago. It's still a worthy release, though I don't think we'll see one.

For you newbies, it's been a decade+ running request on this forum. If you're on the hype train, you don't know why management won't release it. If you're not, it's an overrated, pesky weed like 6/29/13 or C'ville 2016 that won't go away.

Pretty much any 04 show would make a good release.

I couldn't agree more. Would love a Vote For Change show one day. Pass that along to your superiors at the WH

Managers of the mail room don't have much say, so him telling his boss probably wouldn't do much.

Yeah, I don't care about that either. This was my personal favorite from that tour, but if 7/10/04 had been released, I'd be all over it too.

The issue for me personally is 7/27/04 probably a top 3 show for me that I've ever attended (maybe #1).. and that has something to do with some of the song choices, but not really the overall setlist... but it absolutely has to do with the overall performance. It's fantastic, and I think it'll translate to anyone

I would not rule out this one getting released though. From what I recall about the decade long debate, is it seemed to center around GGT.. so when GGT got released, it kind of took the wind out of the sails for a full show release, but they've released shows with singular song releases before. With 7/27 now official, I think the focus will turn back to 7/10 for the next 04 release, in some form.

7/10/04 would have been an amazing release (and still will be considering it's request popularity) but at this point I'll take any awesome 04 show and 7/27 looks like it's gonna be a fun ride. Live Trax has been on fire lately. A couple okay shows but mostly stand out shows.
