I'm not 100% sure, but I believe DMB was the ONLY act to ever sell out that Verizon (before it closed), in its opening season in 2001 (7.17.01, and maybe on 5.2.02, too)
I've seen John Mayer and George Strait in the AT&T Center and it was aight...not as good as an amphitheater would have been. It's probably the only place for many of these bands to play in SA now that Verizon closed.
I can't see any big band playing @ Wolff Stadium...the place is tiny (compared to Wrigley, Fenway, Citi Field, CBP), and it's way out in west SA as opposed to Selma which is North of SA and therefore closer to Austin- I'd also prefer a Woodlands Fri/Sat 2-nighter over a SA show
