I just joined the WH this year and was wondering if anyone has requested tickets for Woodlands or Dallas before? Can you get 2 or 4 tickets per show?

That's pretty much exactly the situation we're mulling over.

I reserved a room in Saratoga and Mansfield for show nights. Now I just need to book a room in Boston for the night before te game, if we do that, and for the off night between shows when we plan on partying in Boston.

I thought The Woodlands was not a livenation venue....but I see the show listed on livenation's website. I am curious because I want to keep an eye out for when any presales are (amex if tm, citi if livenation). Does anyone know about this or dates of presales. No presale dates are listed yet for any shows on warehouse, livenation or tm websites.

Usually just 2-4. Did 14 last year though. Looking at 8 this year if things fall into place for me.

Yea, you mentioned the 4 shows in 5 days, which reminded me of the good ole days. This is one of the years where tour dates aren't fitting into my schedule, and might be my first year ever without a new venue.

Houston Hobby is closest, but it doesn't have as many flights going to it as George Bush. Southwest does fly to Hobby though. Not sure where you're flying from, so I don't know if SW would work for you.

How the hell is Hobby closer? Hobby is southeast of Houston. IAH is north of Houston off 45. The Woodlands is north of Houston off I-45.

    Right.
Hobby is about an hour away, Bush is 20 min away. I live near Bush but prefer Hobby as I am a SW guy.

The Woodlands is not a livenation venue (it is privately owned by The Woodlands township), but they sell through Ticketmaster. Livenation has bought out Ticketmaster, so that's likely where the confusion is.

Missed Texas last year, but will hit Dallas this year. Too bad The Woodlands isn't closer. We love the venue, area and fans there. Hopefully we'll see some familiar faces in Dallas again.

I may be sitting out this year.. Anyone care to convince me otherwise?

If I do go it will be only to the Woodlands. There's a UT game on saturday and I haven't missed a home game since my junior year of highschool

I'm a little burnt out on DMB concert going and would almost rather travel to a couple UT away games instead, but I'm sure I'll end up regretting it if the tour is a good one..

I hear ya - that Saturday is a monster day for college football, hence now Dallas for me.

You'll have a crazy weekend with DMB and a UT game on one weekend.

Hell, rain is fine . . . The hurricane that happened last year is NOT okay. I questioned my livelihood multiple times that day.

Just requested best available for Dallas. Keeping my fingers crossed for ga pit, or a random WH drawing night. Either way, I'll be at the theater all day tailgating.

I think GA pit in Dallas is going to be a fucking nightmare. Dallas doesn't have a pit so it's likely that the entire lower reserved section will be the "pit".

I'm not a big fan of the GA pit any how . . . But, you're right, Dallas will be an interesting venue to try this out. I did GA for Radiohead at the Woodlands and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life . . . But they had only sold around 100 tickets and you could literally stand anywhere that you wanted. We got there an hour before the show and were dead center on the bar without any form of pushing, shoving, etc. Absolutely amazing . . .

I was also in the pit at Radiohead in the Woodlands. You're right, it was very chill.
How fucking sick was that LED light show from that close?!? I felt like I was on LSD. It really exposes DMB's pitiful light system foe the joke that it is.

I was at Dallas the next night on the lawn. I walked down and looked at the "pit" and it looked like a nightmare. it was massive.

    @blue monkey

skip the pass. Just get there before 4pm and pay your 10 bucks or whatever. Sometimes if you're super early, you can just drive in an not have to pay.

Find our tailgate and have a good time!

    ^ word.

We need to ask a sign shop to make us a Texas flag. Sans lone star add firedancer.

A cloth flag would be tits but i'm sure they can make a vinyl at the very least...
