They were still working with Batson in 07 when he started playing that drum beat. So its definitely possible that’s what they used. That would be a big shame.

I much prefer the non-Coldplay beat, but as long as everything else in the song is really good it doesn’t kill it for me. See LT14. It’s one of my favorite versions despite having the Coldplay rhythm.

Been saying this since they first played it. Not so much the studio version but the earlier live versions. Add some sleigh bells and it sounds like a song from an early 2000’s Christmas movie.

I know Google Music and iTunes have had it up for a little while, but from my recollection, I don't think Amazon did.

Even though I despise the overall negativity and pessimism on these boards (perhaps partially because my other obsession--the Red Sox--has fans that do the same), I actually think it could be a good thing in this case.

Remember when Big Whiskey was being marketed? The band was pumped and saying it was a masterpiece. That created immense excitement among fans, and created this expectation that BW would be the best thing since sliced bread. Well, it wasn't. BW was solid but underwhelming, mainly because of those ridiculous expectations. Do y'all remember this? I member.

Moral of my excessively long and nuanced story is that going in with low expectations for Come Tomorrow could be a better approach.
