Hmm. I'm torn. These songs are really different, stylistically, so it's a tough call.

I love She. That's a bad-*ss song. The studio version has such a punchy/gritty guitar & bass sound that I flippin' love.

On the other hand, I was lucky enough to be in the You and Me music video - right behind Dave and next to Stefan - and have amazing memories from the day we filmed it, so that song always gives me a great feeling when I hear it. Based on how I feel when I listen to these two songs, I might have to go with You and Me here. My opinion is almost certainly weighted heavily by my experience in 2009, though, lol.

She is at least musically interesting. You & Me is boring as shit and one of Dave's cringiest lyrics.

She is better musically and lyrically. You & Me has a 20 second bridge that I can tolerate and the rest is just flavorless cheese.

Here's a take everyone will love though, I would take You and Me every show over DDTW, that is how much I have grown to despise what the band has turned that song into and how much they havc overplayed it.

She is kinda generic rock to me. It's just ok. I've always gotten an emotional reaction to Y&M. Kind of tugs at my family heartstrings. Love is cheesy sometimes.

I don't think it's fair to say She is necessarily better musically. You and Me is in 3/4 yet Carter plays drums in 4/4 during the chorus. She is a repetitive riff that has a bar of 4/4, a bar of 6/4, and then 2 bars of 4/4 again. I think in general You and Me is just more pleasing to listen to in my opinion.

Tough call, honestly.

I really do like both songs, but once I ignore the fact that I'm just bored of You & Me, I realize that it's the song I prefer. Not by much though.

DDTW currently earns a 0 in my rankings. No +1 because of how grossly overplayed it is (and Tim's metal pinch harmonics towards the end). No -1 out of respect for the song at heart and what it used to be. I still don't hate it at a show or anything yet, just not crazy about the current take on it.

She is legit. I think 100% of the people who hate it have not listened too well. To compare She to a b-side Nickelback song is comical.
