Moderate democrats probably have the highest ceiling of any type of candidate because of their ability to do better with working class whites while doing well with blacks, hispanics, suburban women, etc... That’s why I think a Biden like candidate is best equipped to beat Trump.

All things considered, I'm actually surprised he got the votes he did. He probably should have entered a little earlier.

I actually think bloomberg out is a slight more help to bernie than biden, a lot of those votes had to be anti-biden. Not enough to sway things but maybe like a 55/45 thing.

Been lurking in this thread over the past few weeks... I didn't have a major dog in the fight yesterday (although I think Biden has a better chance in the general so he is my preference) but I gotta say from what I've seen on twitter - the Bernie Bros might want to start putting a little more blame on their candidate and not the voters.

All I see is blaming older whites for not voting Bernie with stats and graphs to back it up, which imo is kinda his own fault. He never was able to connect with that demo for whatever reason. I don't think he expanded his platform (and message) enough to reach out to those and all you ever heard was "healthcare, healthcare, healthcare". We know he's about healthcare. He beat a dead horse for too long and it hurt him.

Most of Bloomberg's votes were A) moderates B) people who voted early and were thinking Biden was a sinking ship and C) highly targeted by his spending campaign.

A majority of these voters will slide back to Biden, and the apparatus of his campaign moving into Biden's domain is going to be huge.
