2021 Tour Rumors/Status

After graduation I got pit tickets to Tampa and wanted to do rail one time as a special memory. Showed up at 6:30 am and waited all day.

Sure, it was really cool being on rail. But I would never do that again. So much line anxiety from other people, the venue obviously doesn't want you there, it's hot as balls, and you lose all the fun of tailgating the show. I'll never understand the people that do it show after show. Back of pit is so much easier, you can get beers and take a piss without some weirdo trying to block you from getting back to your spot.

Live Nation has spent a ton of money to get these tours back on the road. Gonna take a lot to have them cancelled.

I did rail once in a super tiny pit because we got a good number thru the lottery. Still tailgated. It was fairly miserable though, I don’t understand the appeal or stress of being up front.

I’ve seen this band, or at least Dave, 72 times. Been rail and legit front row reserved in the pre-pit days. Five feet doesn’t matter to me anymore.

Only time I was in the pit and on the rail was at Blossom and the speakers stuck out to a point where the sound was being delivered behind me. Did not sound as great as I expected.

I rather enjoyed the Gorge pit a lot in 2019 (N1 & N3). Just watched for the crowd to pack in and hung out casually where the crowding ended. Sound was good, people were friendly.

Let's clarify this: they don't take "someone"...they pick hot women to bring in the front row for Billy. My girlfriend and her friends were chosen once and that was what their crew guy told them when they were being brought to front row.

this is accurate. our dates actually got the upgrade, and we just snuck up with them.

Railed once in my life for West Palm Beach 2019. It was very cool and we had some great people around us. The best part was we arrived at the warehouse tent 2 min before they stopped handing out numbers. We waited 5 more min for them to draw and we were like 15 in line. Zero waiting, zero anxiety. They just walked us in and we were on the rail. I will never wait 8 plus hours to do it again though. I actually just agreed to trade my WPB pits for this year for front row lowers because that pit is a disaster on night 2 if stuck in the middle.
