Thought that was really good. Took a bit to hit its stride and the CGI was meh here and there but overall I am super hooked. Paddy Considine and Matt Smith really stood out. Can't wait for next week!

Decent enough to keep watching but it's not a good sign that there was a noticeable regression in the quality of the CGI. And on the first episode even, you'd think they want to impress. It was just fire too, how hard is that?

yeah the Croatia/Kings Landing CGI in the opening shot was meh, and the final dragon shot was pretty bad. Outside of that the CGI is ok. It's tough because they can't blow a whole budget this soon out of the gate. Remember Tyrion passing out through a whole battle to save money? I'm sure this was still one of the most expensive series premiers of all time
I thought it was really good. Lot of compelling characters, very similar to GoT's premier episode. There's a lot of story here and I'm in right now.

I'm on the fence about watching. Planned all week to check it out but now I'm thinking I'll wait for the season to be done. Hear some feedback before deciding. GoT left such a bad taste in my mouth I'm not sure I want to commit to this one yet.

I enjoyed it, yeah CGI was subpar but I got hooked right in. A lot of great GOT moments that made me real happy.

Thought it was fine for a first episode. Not fully hooked, but will probably keep watching.
I didn’t notice the CGI stuff but it’s been a hot minute since GoT and I’m honestly just not good at picking up on that kind of stuff so I’ll take others’ word for it.

Apparently there was a 20 minute Dance of Dragons animated featurette included with the Blu Ray release of season five of Game of Thrones. Just watched it and its incredibly well done.
