You mean recording an album of new material, then continually tweaking, adding old Batson era songs and releasing it 3 years later? Sounds nothing like Come Tomorrow to me.

The renewed chatter...the band posting more album related stuff has me pumped again. Seems like some momentum is building. Excited to hear some studio songs with Buddy.

This is the only way I want older songs to make the album. Use your current lineup and start from scratch. If they just use an old cut I wouldn't want it.

Agreed, my biggest gripe with CT.

I personally don’t want the album to be a mix of newer and older tunes, but I do like Break Free. If they do decide to use some of these older songs, at least they appear to be recording them with the current arrangement and lineup.

It looks like it could be a k or an A at the end of the first word. It's so blurry you can't say for sure, but it looks like Break Free to me.

The pictures all point to Break Free, not just the lyric sheet but you have Dave’s electric and the horns and Buddy on keys. I wonder if they went to the studio solely to record Break Free

It drags so much to my ears. My favorite live take was from I think OK at the beginning of the 2016 tour. Turns out it matches the pace of the leaked Batson session studio...it just feels right to me. Also preferred Boyd's outro solo to Rashawn's from Fenway.

The best thing is that we have all of these different versions that we get to enjoy.

Also confused why folks are talking about a 5-songs bonus CD...why wouldn't you want the impending double album that I'm trying to manifest?

Slight concern yes. However if it ends up being successful maybe this iteration gets motivated to make a follow up that doesn’t take 5 years (I know that’s a dumb thought especially for this thread).

Not satire, my friend. Batson is the only producer who has challenged the band for 20 years now. BTCS is the most dense album production-wise. It’s just too much. Definitely happy to see Break Free on the album, especially if it’s a new recording. Hope the bring in MB to tighten it up.

Thank god. Idea Of You on Come Tomorrow is the laziest thing I've ever heard. They just took the demo from 2006 and put an orchestra over it.

I’m stoked for this album and Bruce’s note about break free is awesome. If they are really not using any of the old tracks for that song to build on, and are straight re-recording it, that is a great indication that the band doesn’t want to repeat mistakes from 2018. I love the jazzy outro to break free the way it was played this year and would love to hear buddy’s work with Carter on an extended outro of that song with a little jazz trumpet from Rashawn. Let’s GO!!!

The crowd noise in the intro is just as lazy of an add-on, but even more so in a way, since it sounds like it was simply lifted from the 2013 warm-up video from YouTube.

There's multiple songs on Stand Up where the chorus is just them saying the song title over and over again. Batson challenged them

Batson challenged them the least out of any producer they have worked with. That's why Stand Up is such a horrible studio album. Fortunately, almost every song on the record has evolved into fantastic live versions.
