Re: Philadelphia Phillies

I can't remember, is there even a 76ers thread? I feel like we're prob all sixers fans...spur of the moment I nabbed lowers this afternoon and took my son to the game tonight. Coming from Reading it's getting harder and harder to get down there. Took over 2 hours because of the traffic, and then on the way home it was so much worse. I usually get on 95 but with the flow of traffic out of the stadium I kinda had to take 76. Construction cut it down to one lane. From the time youre at the rive with the skyline on top of you to the art museum (what, like a mile?) it took an hour and 20 mins. Fucking brutal. Game ended at 9:15 and I got home at 12:40

Just reading this makes me so mad, it should never take that long to get home. I'm in SJ and it usually takes me 20-25 mins to get home. If they move to Center City, i doubt i'll go to any games.

Good for Wheeler and the Phils. One of the Mets’ bigger misses. I remember arguing with someone on here that it was mistake to let Wheeler walk when he initially signed with you guys. His ceiling was always high

Wheeler has been one of the most important players for this team's success the last two years, second only to Harper. Glad he got a massive payday over the next few years. He deserves every cent. Now it's time to win!

Need some advice. Traveling to Philly in April and I am taking the family to a Phillies game on April 21. It's a day game.

Any sections to avoid? We plan to "root" for the Phillies so I shouldn't have to worry about getting my ass kicked. But wondering if there are preferred locations in the park to sit that arent going to cost me a ton of cash.

you're going to a phillies game in April, not a Dal-Eagles game in January. I dont think you have much to worry about. You'll think I'm full of it, but the absolute worst experience I ever had at a game, the only time I was ever afraid for my physical safety and that of my wife's, was at Dodger Stadium

that said, no, no sections to avoid. Great views from every section. If you sit on the Home/1st base side you have the perfect view of the giant liberty bell, the skyline, and the scoreboard. In the right field concourse there's an awesome kids section that's totally free, there's a replica CBP whiffle ball field and other activities for the kids. This is the view from my season ticket section 318. You can prob get tickets for between 50-70 each here. I have 2 tickets im selling that day

Phillies games are benign. You will have a blast.

Phillies games are only "awful" to away fans if you root for the Mets, Braves or it's the playoffs. And by "awful" I mean you'll get your balls broken but there is no threat of violence. Eagles fans on the other hand...
