Re: CHIPOTLE Appreciation Thread

Chronic Tacos is also great. And I've changed my mind about this place. I used to thank Chipotle tasted like watered down Doritos, but now I like it. Their burritos are pretty tasty.

    God I love Chipotle!

Huge irritant is when people say "It's not real mexican food!"

Yeah....no one ever claimed it was. But that doesn't mean it isn't delicious. Trust me, I love authentic Mexican from a nice little tacqueria too, but it's apples and oranges, IMO. Chipotle is the bomb.

It may depend on the location, but I have had this happen and they made me a new one.

    @ bolded. no shit.

It's like when I get excited about the McRib coming back and everyone tells me it's not good for me. No, shit, really? You mean overly processed "pork product" in the shape of a rack of ribs, deep fried with god knows what kind of BBQ sauce on it is bad for me? Fuck!

Apparently I need to try the Barbacoa, I've never been able to pull myself away from the chicken burrito. It's just so damn delicious.

The chicken is bland and tasteless compared to barbacoa, and I love their chicken.

moes lets you actually put shit on your burrito instead of just rice, beans, meat, cheese, salsa. not having jalepenos at a burrito place is just absurd.
Moe's also gives you surprise hairs in your food. Never going back to that place ever again.

Aside from that, the quality of their toppings is not even close to Chipotle. You may have more choices, but I prefer quality over quantity. Qdoba is like Chipotle's fatter, lazier brother. It's almost as good, but not quite there. My only gripes with Chipotle are the price of guac and their freezing cold sour cream that cools your entire burrito.

Never been to Qdoba, but Moe's is awesome if you love food poisoning.

Walked in the other day, get up to the cashier. She goes, "You're here all the time, it's on us today."

Barbacoa is the most underrated meat there...once you try it you'll get hooked.

In two weeks I start working in a building that has a Chipotle in the lobby. I may ask them to take out a restraining order against me, just to be safe.

Yeah, those two restaurants being right by my office is the reason my pants are getting tight.

    Do it.

If you need even more of a kick, add the spicy salsa.

Under $7 for a burrito/bowl that should fill you up all day is a great deal, IMO.
