After that, if you're not crying yet, do 1-2 shots per song.

His voice is more to be desired, but just the lyrics will make you die on the inside. To me, it's so painful and gut-wrenching, yet so, so beautiful... It's like he knew what I was going through with a past love of mine. I found Richard Buckner when I was at the lowest point of my life, just recently dumped by the greatest girl on the planet, no real job, all money I made went straight to cigarettes and liquor, just plain bad times for me... With the help of Buckner, Wilco, and DMB, I was able to get on my feet again.

Wow, anyways, yeah, Tweedy f'n rocks!

This is fucking awesome. Reminds me of that one Uncle Tupelo lyric that goes something like "Jesus later/whiskey for now..."

Yes! The Tupelo song is called "Whiskey Bottle," on the No Depression album. The lyrics are something like this: "Whiskey bottle, over Jesus...Not forever...Just for now....." Great song!

BTW... Does anybody else get chills at the beginning of Via Chicago??? Because I still do after all these years! "I dreamed about killing you again last night, and it felt alright to me..."

Hope everybody's day is going swimmingly!

I think "Box Full of Letters" has to be my favorite song right now. I listened to it several times on my way into work this morning.......

I can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read.

go out and buy "A Ghost is Born" or "Kicking Television". Neither though these are the two newer cd's Wilco have been playing those songs a majority of the time. After you get used to these two cd's then buy "AM", "Being There" "Summerteeth" and "Yankee Foxtrot Hotel".

hopefully you get hooked because these guys kick ass!

Kicking Television is an excellent taste of many of their albums. And of course, the sound badass live.

To this date, A Ghost is Born is one of my all time favorite albums

There aren't any invites. You just have to wait for space to open up. Check back daily; you'll get in before too long.

Download the album "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", or their new live one. Or any Cd for that matter... but I recommend those.

Went to my first Wilco show Sunday night in Louisville. These guys put on a great live show. They're doing a short tour this fall before heading back to the studio. I'd recommend checking them out if you get a chance. Also, I believe they're going to do a webcast of their 10/19 show in D.C.

More info on the webcast. I found this posted on viachicago.org:

NPR will be webcasting Wilco's show at the 9:30 club in D.C. The show is on Thursday, Oct. 19.

You can listen access the webcast through this link: http://www.npr.org/programs/asc/. It will be up around the time of the show.

As well as a live stream, there will be an interview with Wilco, photos from the show (posted during the show) and a chat room where you can discuss the show and music.
