I liked that too. Buddy does great work on Pig. I dont get the hate. Its S tier DMB and I'd prefer it played frequently with Buddy or RR playing the violin parts than keeping the song on the bench.

The violin is key to that song and both RR and Buddy do a great job playing those lines. I totally get that 4.0 isn't for everyone here from a sonic perspective. But I really enjoy this version of DMB

Pig has some of the best lyrics of the entire DMB catalog. Maybe a slower, smoother version could also enhance those words. Maybe a jazzy sax intro would be cool. I always have the feeling that they are using Jeff at 20% of his potential.

Don't get me wrong, I really like RR and/or Buddy doing the violin parts but I'd be very down for a laid back jazzy Pig. I just don't see Dave experimenting that much with it at the point

I mean he just plays the same prearranged parts during the choruses and the “love, love, love” bridge and the outro. Listen to a few versions.

Now, it is going to be hard to wait and wait till October 8th (Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre, Englewood, CO) for next Friday night Sirius stream.
I don’t enjoy the DMB Couch because of the average poor quality of video/audio, so I hope that Sirius crew will find some other show to air.
I mean, they DON’T HAVE TO be Friday’s shows. I would be so excited if they’d stream the D&T show next Saturday (Hartford, CT), for example.
It seems incredible, after 16 months of no-shows, but for people like me that cannot attend to live shows, even a 2 weeks absence now seems a long time.

I feel the same way. No shows for me this year either unless they do a winter tour close to me. I sure hope the bust something out for this Friday that isn't a repeat. Thanks again for all you do. We are so lucky you do this for us.

The Saturday D&T will be on, I think between the DMB channel and Willie's Roadhouse they will broadcast most if not all of Farm Aid as they have in the past.

XM has already confirmed that Farm Aid will be live streamed on DMB Radio/Willie's Roadhouse, so you will get the D&T show. I think the last time they did Farm Aid, DMB Radio did replays through the week of just the D&T portion, that part I can't confirm.

I remember the mix was horribleee on that Gorge ‘12 show that was streamed live on SiriusXM. Thankfully, they’ve upgraded their shit since then.
