    ^ well, yeah

another asskicking but opposite god damn. who knew that on a night with Golden State/Chicago on tv the headline national game is Memphis/Dallas, my body is ready

weird night though. don’t look now but Cunningham is figuring it out and fast. Moe Wagner outplayed his brother who was also really good. Justin Holiday w his best game ever

Word. Offense has been lacking or slow off the whistle at least but their defense is so suffocating that they’ve been able to find enough buckets throughout the game to pull away. Very impressed. Especially for a team that was at a 3 year low just a couple of weeks ago. And they’ve had the most players go through COVID protocol. Hoping that Porzingis brings an offense spark and we keep makin moves in the West.

Cauley-Stein waved and Chriss gets two year deal with Mavs. Good to see them rewarding the stand ins that have helped turn things around.

    Re: The NBA Thread

oh nice we have another trade!

Forbes the biggest difference maker, obviously will be unplayable some playoff games but can swing a game in a heartbeat for a team that desperately needs reliable sharpshooters

Dozier out for season but a good flyer for Boston, if he can stay healthy next year. he’s a good innings eater, and if needed with starters he’s a guy that can defend the 1 2 or 3 which could be useful if they go uber small in the playoffs. but yeah he can’t do much on offense and honestly he’s more likely to be waived than to see the floor. shame

Hernangomez on San Antonio, whatever, i like his rebounding and the idea of him stretching the floor but not sure he actually can. he’ll get a fair shake of reps though so this may be his last chance to show he’s a player but hey we got AN ACTUAL MOVIE STAR ON THE TEAM

some ancillary pieces to be announced so we’ll see

catching up on games and wow Toronto/Dallas was like, playoff intensity. good to see Doncic can still shoot the ball but damn his teammates suck at open shots AGAIN. they should’ve gone after Forbes

    Re: The NBA Thread

Toronto has such a weird roster compilation. I wonder if they try moving Siakam. There's some redundancy in Siakam, Anunoby and Barnes.

    They could use shooting.

    Re: The NBA Thread

Siakam for Sabonis might be one of the most obvious trades courtwise and cap wise right now, he’s clearly the odd man out in that trio

i actually like their shooting if Birch and Flynn could get on the floor consistently. Mykhailiuk and Boucher are good spacers but obviously you wonder about them in a playoff series. Anunoby remembers how to make a three and they’re good. at their peak i think they’re just about one to two pieces away if healthy

edit: or Turner i guess too, though a little more cap magic necessary

I think it's an interesting conundrum because Siakam I'd undoubtedly their best player, but also the most obvious trade candidate.

    Re: The NBA Thread

a little bit, id say he had a higher ceiling but Van Vleet has eclipsed him as the best player, Anunoby is the guy you’d wanna keep long term, and Barnes could very well be the man in three years. Siakam disappointed so much in the bubble and is just not reaching his potential right now, but still has that raw talent so yeah easiest trade piece by far for Toronto to get to the next level

they should dangle Achiuwa too, nice player but damn he just looks lost out there against good teams
