If draft is tonight, pretty sure I'm gonna miss it. Fog at Midway has fucked up my day. Jax>Sea in 5 airports. Such is life.

Well, if you're at one of those five airports at draft time, you could use the Yahoo Fantasy app to draft, like a few people will be doing. It's nice. Otherwise, be sure to have your pre-draft rankings set and you should be ok.

Re: Antsmarching.org Fantasy Football League #69

Even though I won Best Draft for whatever reason, Yahoo's weird auto-generated report card grades tell a different story:

    Roose13 - Weeden Start TheFire: B+
    Quote:
Corresponding with a solid draft slot (third overall), Weeden Start TheFire had a stellar showing. With a mark of 10-4-0 (1,850 points), they're projected to finish second in Ants League #69 League. Weeden Start TheFire loaded up on ballcarriers early, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs Doug Martin (first round), Stevan Ridley (third round), and DeMarco Murray (fifth round). Corresponding with that strategy, they landed one of the highest-scoring triumvirates of RBs in the league.

BotheDMBFan - The One Who Knocks: B+
    Quote:
Having the top pick in the draft doesn't always lead to championships. But, in this case, there is reason for optimism. The One Who Knocks parlayed their overall No. 1 selection into this year's top draft, projected to finish in first place in Ants League #69 League with a mark of 11-3-0 (1,851 points). The One Who Knocks opted for balance early, selecting QB Aaron Rodgers (1st overall), RB Maurice Jones-Drew (21st), WR Brandon Marshall (20th), and TE Vernon Davis (41st) within the first five rounds. They have the highest-scoring pair of QBs in the league, as they added Rodgers and Tony Romo.

    TwoStep2888 - Tough Customers: B
    Quote:
Tough Customers parlayed a solid draft slot (second overall) into a respectable performance. With a mark of 9-5-0 (1,837 points), they're projected to finish third in Ants League #69 League. With their first five picks, Tough Customers focused on balance, selecting QB Tom Brady (19th overall), RBs Adrian Peterson (2nd) and Reggie Bush (39th), and WRs Randall Cobb (22nd) and Vincent Jackson (42nd). They landed the top combo of RBs in the league, as they picked up Peterson and Bush for their fantasy stable.

    whyiam36 - LT's Crack Pipe: B
    Quote:
When a bottom-half draft slot yields top-half results, that's the sign of a strong effort by the GM. Such was the case with LT's Crack Pipe, which flipped its ninth overall pick into a projected fourth-place finish in Ants League #69 League (9-5-0, 1,792 points). LT's Crack Pipe loaded up on ballcarriers early, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs Marshawn Lynch (second round), Steven Jackson (third round), and Eddie Lacy (fifth round). They have the highest-scoring tandem of WRs in the league, as they picked up Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald for their fantasy stable.

    crashintonickdm - Romosexuals: B
    Quote:
A mediocre draft slot can often result in a mediocre draft performance. Picking 10th overall, Romosexuals is projected to land in sixth place in Ants League #69 League with a record of 8-6-0 (1,801 points). With their first five picks, Romosexuals focused on balance, selecting QB Drew Brees (10th overall), RBs Frank Gore (30th) and Ahmad Bradshaw (50th), and WRs Dez Bryant (11th) and Demaryius Thomas (31st). They have the best set of WRs in the league, as they added Thomas, Bryant, and Steve Smith.

    Jake - RattledNumbers: B
    Quote:
A mediocre draft slot can often result in a mediocre draft performance. Picking seventh overall, RattledNumbers is projected to land in fifth place in Ants League #69 League with a record of 8-6-0 (1,829 points). With their first five picks, RattledNumbers focused on balance, selecting QB Robert Griffin III (47th overall), RBs Trent Richardson (7th) and Arian Foster (14th), and WRs Julio Jones (27th) and Andre Johnson (34th). They ended up with one of the highest-scoring pairs of RBs in the league, as they picked up Foster and Richardson for their fantasy stable.

    DMBZeppelin - I Just Blue Myself: B-
    Quote:
The poor draft position for I Just Blue Myself proved too great an obstacle to overcome. After selecting eighth overall, they're projected to finish eighth in Ants League #69 League with a record of 4-10-0 (1,775 points). With their first five picks, I Just Blue Myself focused on balance, selecting QB Matt Ryan (28th overall), RBs Jamaal Charles (8th) and Matt Forte (13th), and WRs Victor Cruz (33rd) and Torrey Smith (48th). They ended up with the top foursome of RBs in the league, as they picked up Charles, Forte, Daryl Richardson, and Shane Vereen for their fantasy stable.

    LAA1305 - A Bunch of Fu*kers: C
    Quote:
A Bunch of Fu*kers couldn't weave their fourth overall selection into fantasy gold. They're projected to end up seventh in Ants League #69 League with a mark of 5-9-0 (1,736 points). A Bunch of Fu*kers opted for balance early, selecting QB Peyton Manning (17th overall), RB Ray Rice (4th), WR Dwayne Bowe (37th), and TE Tony Gonzalez (44th) within the first five rounds. They ended up with the worst quartet of WRs in the league, as they added Bowe, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, and Stevie Johnson.

    thehammer316 - Dirty Hippies: C
    Quote:
Selecting in the bottom half of the first round (sixth overall), Dirty Hippies was unable to conjure up any fantasy magic. With a projected record of 3-11-0 (1,703 points), they're picked to finish ninth in Ants League #69 League. With their first five picks, Dirty Hippies focused on balance, selecting QB Matthew Stafford (35th overall), RBs C.J. Spiller (6th) and David Wilson (26th), and WRs A.J. Green (15th) and Wes Welker (46th). They landed one of the most prolific pairs of QBs in the league, as they picked up Russell Wilson and Stafford for their fantasy stable.

    Tiduwho - Tidu's Teabaggers: D+
    Quote:
Despite selecting in the top half of the first round (fifth overall), Tidu's Teabaggers looks a little soft on paper. They're projected to finish 10th in Ants League #69 League with a record of 3-11-0 (1,652 points). Tidu's Teabaggers jumped on ballcarriers early and often, using their first three selections to grab RBs LeSean McCoy (5th overall), Alfred Morris (16th), and Chris Johnson (25th). They landed the most prolific set of WRs in the league, as they picked up Danny Amendola, Roddy White, Jordy Nelson, and DeSean Jackson for their fantasy stable.

My draft received a D+. But listen to this:

Turning the Tables: The coach of Tidu's Teabagger must have arrived late to the draft party. After picking up the fewest projected points in the league over the draft's first half, they accumulated the most during the second half.

That's exactly what happened. Damn auto-draft the first 5 rounds...

very happy with my draft; can almost go all Bama players... almost took McElroy and Brad Smelley to make it a true all-Bama team.
