I'm pretty sure it's a little interpolation because I swear I've heard that before.
You're probably thinking of this song

It kind of sounds like it at Piedmont. At Hollywood Bowl he's definitely singing that.

Yeah that's definitely what it is. I knew I had heard it elsewhere (non-DMB) I just couldn't put a finger on it.

    Thanks.

It sounds sweet as hell and fits perfectly.
In an old radio interview back in socal, summer '95, he stated ' Have you ever spent time up in your grandparents attic?' Simply put, I think its basically about growing old, and letting go. Maybe the attic is the warehouse full of all those old memories we have of past family, and friends. Thats just my take on it.

I definitely had the same thoughts as the original poster when i heard this, regarding satan's persona in Paradise Lost. "I am the one that fell from there down to the ground And with his broken wings ruled the world all around" sounds very indicative of Satan in that work, at least to me.

Hadn't listened to this in ages. Will they ever bring back the Woo intro? Not sure how popular it is here, but the crowds I was in always seemed to get into it.

The stop-time "woo" intro happened all throughout the 2021 tour.

They used the Woo intro in 2021. See SPAC N2, for one example.
