Béla Fleck and Dave Matthews Band
I am listening to one of those great performances of Béla with Dave Matthews (12.07.98 LIOG) and I am asking to myself: is he the #1 guest ever?

As subjective as this sort of thing is, I am on the side of ‘yes, he is the #1 guest ever.’ In my brain, his instrument is one that fits within what this band is, or was. It fits more than a pedal steel guitar or even, dare I say it, an electric guitar.

Yes. There have been some great guests over the years but bela just adds that subtle touch and elevates the songs he’s on. Most consistently great guest. Vusi and Trey also should get mentioned.

No doubt for me. His subtle play on songs like Grace is Gone and Last Stop are what I love.

He's number 1 for me, but I prefer it when multiple Flecktones play with DMB instead of just Bela.

Hamilton excellent too. Haven’t had the privilege of seeing him live, but the clips w/ him have been awesome.
