Re: Annual Warehouse Package

I won't waste my time downloading the 19 show, only the D&C which I already have... :/

Being that they were set on 2019 shows, could have pick half a dozen better ones. This was a good one that wasn’t live streamed or anything:

Even 2018 would have better if they wanted a post-Boyd show. I thought they played well Tahoe '18.

Only read the last few comments, and I see there's some hate for the show download. I was there and can attest that the band had a certain joy and energy that I haven't seen frequently in recent years. They were having a good time, and playing well, and I have no doubt that they were thinking about Roi the whole time. Give it a listen. Hopefully that comes across in the recording.

Based on what I'm reading this will be download only? I guess the annual WH CD as a physical release is no more. It's unfortunate - I'd rather have a physical release of the Dave & Carter recordings than the last couple WH CDs.

On the Warehouse page it mentions it'll be available by end of the following month

Which is pretty dumb considering this is all digital. A one month delay post renewal for a download?

Was second row in pit Buddy’s side. I agree about this. I am happy this is my last show I have attended until concerts happen again. Great memory great performances.

I don't lose my tickets if I let my Warehouse membership lapse do I? Ex: Bought 2020 tour tickets in Feb 2020, didn't renew, went back to make a new account today. Are the tickets from 2020 still coming (whenever they tour)?

Checked the set and I’m looking forward to this one. The band started to sound even tighter and more grounded at the end of 2019, so I’m happy to see a later show.

You will still get them. You already paid for them. There's history on this. But, who knows in these crazy times; may want to reach out anyway.

A little more context to my original post. The SF show a few days later had a completely different vibe. Still good, but more business as usual and not nearly as enjoyable. Sacramento last year was a keeper in my memory bank, so I'm really glad they chose to release it.

This gets said about nearly every 2018 and 2019 show. Doesn’t change the set list they played, which is awful

Right. We're talking about a show where nearly a full hour (~50% of the show) is filled with duds, and mid-set we get a half-hour run of:

    Shake Me Like a Monkey
    Come Tomorrow
    Corn Bread
    Can't Stop
    The Space Between

No amount of "tight" performances (which isn't always a good thing - this band needs to loosen up) can save bad songs and terrible runs.

    Agree with mposey and baboon.

Yeah, they’re having fun but they’ve mailed it in for a few years now. If that brings them happiness. Fine. But it makes the shows crappy.

I’d be willing to wager that it sounds exactly like every other 2019 show we’ve gotten - which is basically the entire tour at this point. There’s not much difference from show to show these days unfortunately.

At this point I think there are a lot of people holding onto Warehouse memberships in case there comes a time when a DMB tour or show is publicly billed as their "farewell tour."

I hold on to mine for things like Live25 where WH has first shot at vinyl releases and stuff. And the occasional concert ticket that's halfway decent. It's $35, and I'm fortunate to afford that without thinking about it, so I can hang in there for a while.

This. $35 a year is worth it for the hassle free ticket opportunities. Im not picky about my seat just that I have an actual seat. The WH is perfect for that

Yeah $35 is a great price. You get a cd/download and get access to tickets. It’s on par w Ticketmaster “convenience” fees and stuff. I’ve been a member since ‘01 and for how cheap it is I just keep the steak going.

I’ve only gotten Pit seats twice...and one of those times was for the ‘20 cancelled tour so I can’t really say I’ve gotten amazing tickets from Warehouse...but I’ve always gotten tickets of some sort.

I have been a WH member for like 16 years even though there’s been 2-3 year stretches where we didn’t go to any shows but the Live25 release & other stuff makes it worth it to me...

WH is decent in that it’s generally easy to get tickets etc, but last year I joined the TenClub and I can’t believe how much better it is compared to WH. Annual member only vinyl releases, better annual gift, stuff like the Home Show webcast seems to be much more common (although the Dave & Carter session was amazing)... not to mention that PJ sells soundboard feeds for basically every show (something dmb should have been doing for 20 years). I am super pleased with 10C overall.

    Re: Annual Warehouse Package

I've been a huge annual concert attending fan since 2000... I've never joined the warehouse and I've rarely had problems getting decent to excellent seats for shows... I miss getting the discs occasionally but I've managed to find most of them in one way or another to listen to.. If they would have only released the Dave & Carter show to members on Blu-Ray and CD it would have been awesome this year and I would have gladly forked over money for it. But since it was widely available to non-warehouse members if you know how to google, it's kind of sucky that's what the option is this year. And with no tour likely..Why would anyone pay this year?
