Me and one of my buddies made a bunch of them one time on a camp out when we were in scouts back in the day. We made them over an open fire, in the snow, with home made wooden rotating spits. They were so delicious.

Kind of hard to believe we have had so much new content and so much upcoming now.

Though I still want them to continue on with the Solo storylines. But I know that won't happen.

Gah, I remember that day. I watched that thing on repeat. I was so blown away. Say whatever about the movies, but JJ captured the feel of the OT really well and the trailer gave me all sorts of nostalgia.

Also, going to my first Star Wars "convention" in a couple of weeks. It's an event that a local boy scout troop (troop 501, get it???) runs every year. I'm not expecting much, but it should be fun nonetheless.
This got cancelled, bummed about that. Good news it that now I get to run a 5K instead.

Pedro Pascal Revealed as The Mandalorian

All-star cast to appear in upcoming Disney+ Star Wars live-action series.

Lucasfilm is pleased to announce the cast of the first-ever Star Wars live-action series — The Mandalorian.

Pedro Pascal (Narcos) has been cast in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. He is joined by Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Nick Nolte (Affliction).

“We’re having a great time working with this incredibly talented group and excited for everyone to see what we’re up to,” says Executive Producer Jon Favreau.

Currently in production, The Mandalorian is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode and serving as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

The highly-anticipated series will be exclusive to Disney+, The Walt Disney Company’s upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming service, which is set to launch in the U.S. in late 2019.

This sounds promising, especially with Favreau at the helm. He's one of Disney's golden boys these days, aside from the Russo Bros.

Won't be Luke. From what I've read it takes place about 5 years after Return of the Jedi, and it takes place on the far edges of the galaxy where no one cares about the rebellion or the empire.

I'm hoping the Luke thing was a joke, but I dunno.

Definitely excited for the Cassian show as well. Rogue One was great, and I really liked his character.

I was going to say that exact thing yesterday, but I went back on it only because the show description says it takes place in the far reaches of the galaxy in an area where no one cares about the empire or rebellion. So my thinking was if they don't care then why would they care about keeping someone like Rey safe? And also she lived on Jakku, which is clearly part of the galaxy that cares about what's going on...however, that's not to say she was born on Jakku. The only thing we've seen from her past is a ship taking off and her crying out. That could have been someone dropping her in Jakku when they realized this kid may be more trouble than it's worth protecting.

Also, isn't TFA set about 30 years after ROTJ and Rey is supposed to be around 18 or so???? The timeline does not add up for Rey if that is correct.

That was set back #2 that I thought of. It may be better to try and keep the stories separate while still giving it that Star Wars feel. I'm finding the more everything connects, the more the story changes, and the more I dislike that.

Why in the hell aren't there plans already for a "Ben Kenobi" or "Obi Wan" anthology film set between Episodes III and IV? McGregor continues playing Obi Wan, watching over a young Luke as Vader tries to find Kenobi (and maybe Luke?). Adventures involving Mos Eisley, jawas, sand people, Uncle Ben and Aunt Beru. WHY HASN'T THIS HAPPENED. WHY ISN'T THIS HAPPENING.
