people are too critical on play-by-play and color guys
Wasn't saying you were a fan. I felt the same feeling you did. It's the World Series I get it but my point is that he can't paint a picture and describe the setting like others can.

I'm only critical of the ones who suck ass, like Joe Buck.

I hated Jon Miller when he did Sunday Night Basbeall too so it's not just ole Joe.

well of course Joe Buck isn't as good as a lot of the local broadcasters that have been doing it for 40+ years, but to annihilate him for that one line is ridiculous to me. i thought it was just fine and appropriate.

people need to remember that he's not trying to appeal to the hardcore baseball fans that make up the majority of this thread. he's trying to convey the game and simplify the game to the average american.

Absolutely agree with your second point too. People just have knee-jerk reactions over him, and he appears on @awfulannouncing so often, because overall - he's awful.

I really do get why he's paid what he is to know as little as he does, etc. It's TV for Christ's sake, not your local basball sabremetrics circlejerk.

oh what do you know? mets starters have average starts against teams that actually know how to hit. The cubs were swinging right through these exact same pitches in the middle of the strike zone. This is refreshing to watch

Would love for the Royals to sweep, but I'd also like them to win it in the K. Unfortunately that means giving up some momentum and losing a couple.

As much as I want the Royals to win, there's a small part in me that wants the Mets to win just so antsmarching.org can watch you turn into a puddle. It would do the human race some good.

Cueto is pitching great, and these Royals aren't missing any pitches. This series isn't over. Sorry your team isn't in the WS.

Reminds of the 2012 World Series. Mets are a great team but just aren't showing up ala the Tigers.

Then again it is only game two. Lots of baseball left.
