Well she's not a baby anymore but I'll just share here:

I had a proud DMB moment this weekend...I was sitting on my bed putting my sneakers on. My nine year old, Marissa, comes walking down the hall. And what do I hear? She is singing. "I will be your dixie chicken, if you be my tennessee lamb, and we can walk together, down in dixie land. Craaaaaaash into meeeeee."

I have raised her well!

Oh and my 20 month old LOVES dancing and singing to #36 when we watch the Listener Supported DVD. She sings "hani hani dance meeeeee"

OH my GOD, this is one of the cutest things I've ever heard. I'd be so proud!!!

EDIT: and I'm not expecting a baby or anything...I just like this thread b/c it's cute.

That's Awesome! My little one really loves the guitar, my husband has been playing to her since the day she came home. I love to see her sit it his lap and pick at the strings!

So this guy I work with keeps acting like a parenting expert and talking down to me because he is an uncle and babysits every once in a while. It is really starting to piss me off.

Am I wrong or would that piss other people off too?

there's always one. i work with a chick who doesn't pull the expert crap, but she's a one-upper. anytime anyone's kids come up, she will always jump in with "well, the other day, nicholas did this...", or "yeah, that reminds me of the time nicholas...". i want to hit her with a baseball bat.

in other news, 8 days and counting for us. yikes. plus, we just started the process of building a home. go big or go home, amirite?

how appropriate that i saw this on here today. my wife and i just found out she's pregnant the other day. we had been trying for almost 2 years. we're really excited. she's about 5 1/2 weeks pregnant.

yeah. we're really excited right now. i'm hoping for a boy, she's hoping for a girl. guess it really doesn't matter as long as the baby is healthy. 1st sonogram in 3 weeks. we'll get to hear the heartbeat. can't wait

That's really great! Hearing the heartbeat for the first time is such an incredible feeling. And I agree, as long as your wife and the baby have a healthy pregnancy, that's all that really matters.

congrats... my wife and I tried were trying for about 2 1/2 years before she was pregnant.. child is now a little over 3 months old and it is fantastic... I bet you can't wait, especially since it took that long to get pregnant. That's how we were.. we felt blessed.
