Decided to drive up from Chicago to see the full band for one more time this year. (Went to The Gorge, so wanted to see Carter + Stefan) Looking forward to it, but not expecting some life-changing set.

Debated it as well. Would have been my first solo show. Got dumped on in Chicago N1 with the short set.

Thinking the set is pretty vanilla given this weekend is SPAC, but I hope you get a few gems!

What a mess! Summerfest is always moving at their own pace. No early entry for Warehouse a giant cluster. Entry time changed 3 times. 10 min prior they started checking for COVID info. No wristbands to say you have been checked. Just a mess.

I know DMB told us to be patient. I would just be happy if they told LIVE Nation to pound sand and never go back to Summerfest.

Shout out tonight to section 105 for bringing the good vibes. We had a blast. I've always wished and wanted a seek up opener and here we are! The sound was perfect and spot on. I need some of Dave's "cripple" juice! Rashawn had an angry face all night. Maybe he had to poop?

I was just trying to be a homer. It is my one and only show this year and second time in the pit. Seek Up opener was bonkers, first 11 songs were awesome. Encore wasn’t the best but we had a blast.

We were in 105 too! Great vibes, great sound quality! This show was outstanding other than the Shake Me in the encore. Sweet up and Down, 3rd verse of Grey St, You Never Know (I mean, go back in time a few years and tell me then I'd be seeing those things at the same show in Milwaukee and I wouldn't believe you). Was also cool to see Walk around the moon. Hoping for Alpine next time, but we still had a blast!

I noticed he hit the high note on verse 2. First time since Charlotte I think. I much prefer it this way, it emphasizes that part a lot.

Great show, good energy, excellent all around setlist but the encore left something to be desired. Shake Me is a great opener, but not closer

Saw one mic stand that looked to be around Floor 1, but I couldn't tell if it was band equipment or a taper. We shall see if anything pops up on the torrent sites.

Yeah we had a taper there. Every show so far. We're covered until Albuquerque and Oklahoma as far as tapers go... might get the entire year covered for real.

At this venue your lucky to get poster tubes in much less recoding equipment.

Show was solid as midweek shows go. Lots of energy, bland set list . Can never go wrong adding a show but having to go to Summerfest makes you rethink it sometimes.

I haven't been to any other shows this tour, but the energy for Why I Am felt particularly strong. Felt special to share that with the band.

Is Pilgrimage covered as well? Wasn't sure about recording equipment being kosher at festivals. But I do see that Railbird Festival was taped this year...

Completely agree. I was discussing this with my buddies that went to the show with me afterwards. I actually think Nancies was rowdy enough to close the main set. If you close with Nancies and put Grey Street after SMLAM everyone leaves that show with a much better opinion of it. They literally could have played the same songs, just move Grey Street down 2 spots and the show comes across much better. After not seeing the band for 2 years, I had a blast regardless, but that simple change would have made it so much better. Can't wait for MSG!

We pulled something interesting with Railbird, a good friend of mine was able to get that done. Message me if you want details, I don't want to post that publicly.

I am going to Pilgrimage. Getting gear in for that one will be pretty tough but I am going to attempt it.

After resting on it a few days it was a solid show. This entire tour has had an abysmal encore problem. Taking out that.. it was a great show. Opening run was great, funny davespeak, and more importantly the energy was great. Anyone who was at 2018 might remember the story that Dave had gotten in a car accident before the show and he commented how confusing getting in the venue was during the show. I was worried this venue would be a weird vibe but the band clearly was having a blast on Wednesday. Nice little show to add for my midwest DMB fix.
