All in all very welcome news after the announcement of no DMB Record Store Day releases.

    Yes!!!

I used to have an audience recording of this show on CD from back in the day when my local record store would sell them as bootlegs. It was called "Mellow In the Meadows" and the 2nd disk didn't leave my 5 CD tray (ha!) for a good 6 months after I got it! Really excited to have a properly mixed version of this about 20 years later!!

Random aside - do y'all think the official store will honor my previous bootleg purchase and send me this without additional payment? (Kidding ... more than happy to support this show and can't wait to have my mind blown by the superior sound quality.)

Wait, wasn’t this the second most requested show from ‘97? Like second to 6.10.97? I’d expect people to be losing their damn minds over this.

We went on a whole thing about 97 in general in the live trax 45 thread. I've been pining for a June 97 release for a while. Preordered this baby right away, March 29th can't come sooner!

I know I’m showing my age here but I was at this show (06.10.97) and it was indeed great.

Should have been released by now and was THE gig of 97.

    IMO of course .

The lie in our graves from this show with Bela is fire. Reminds me of LT 7. Never thought I’d see the day when they actually released this, have to buy it based on the LIOG alone. Can’t wait.

Don’t post here a lot anymore but there is a guy who has been pushing for this release for years. I’m sure he’s as happy as I am!

Definitely would have preferred the "rumored" Hershey 04 show over this, but looks like a nice set plus Bela.

No doubt. 97 is so classic. The last year where they were a little under the radar a bit. Obviously, they were very popular by then, but they were still playing with a chip on their shoulder and a hungry drive. Right before the big explosion that was 1998.

And that’s not to take away anything from 2004. 2004 I’s great, but 97 maybe close to the very best.

that's not really a secret though, that's more public knowledge than anything since the company that did the filming actually spoke about it on Facebook I believe.

1997 is a great period. They were working up to BTCS, but we’re still playing with that early 90s rawness. The only complaint that is valid is that they weren’t switching up sets as much in 97. That is true, but the song selection and performances and sound were so good. It’s the cross over year between early DMB and BTCS.

Idk so. I believe it will just be a video released possibly through YouTube only. I can't remember the specifics, but I'm sure someone could find, or has saved, their initial post about it.

They may have even mentioned March as a target date for it?

That's true. There are 13 songs on this that were also on LT17. But this one has Seek Up with Bela Fleck, so automatically this show is superior. Plus mid-set Leave Me Praying and Ants Marching, which are both rare for 97.

Overall, I'm excited! Nice to have another officially released show with LeRoi (it's been a while)

97 is a good tour from a sound aspect and that's about it. It's forgettable because nearly every set from that summer is identical and they were more interested in finishing the BTCS songs. If you look at the sets here in Tour Central, you'll see they soundchecked a few BTCS songs that summer. That said, I will never complain about getting a show from the 90s and will be downloading when it's available.
