Huzzah! I hope IHOP found you well, and that the blueberry syrup flowed like wine.

I'd like to personally welcome you back...but I'm not going to. Nothing personal.

    Thanks for not including Sister.
How about a full kind intentions hidden track at the end. This song has a great 'fade to nothing' quality for the end of an album

Huzzah?! What is next, "A folding gratutity!" Love going to the Ren Faire.

The syrup flowed like to water to wine. I need to be taken to the Juice room and squeezed before I pop. I also need to go on Weight Watchers if I keep eating like this.

No offense taken in the non-welcome back comment. Not after the lunch I had. Just won't let it happen.

Idea of You is a close #2 for me. Shotgun is nothing special IMO though. The middle and jam of Break Free is better then anything that has been written since Busted Stuff.

    Re: Too early for flapjacks?

well alright, first i'd like to sincerely thank all of the supporters of this budding masterpiece, and i appreciate the warm welcome to ANTS. however, it's been a while since i've actually earned my keep around here, so, submitted for you approval:

to take this one step further, i'd like to submit that an album of this magnitude be entitled either "Like a Shotgun", "All the King's Horses", some catchy, yet satisfying, lyric-based prepositional phrase, or hell, if "Hello Again" is indeed an addition, this would seem appropriate, as well.
In addition, i am a supporter of the Warehouse Bonus Disk, and the track listing should be as follows:
    1. Brand new JTR - could not, and should not be on an official release outside of LWS, but would be nice for it to garnish some additional support.
    2. New legitimate B-side, ala "Trouble With You".
    3. Best or most current live version of "Granny", simply for the post-everyday fanbase exposure.
    4. Best live version of some old fan favorite, i.e. "Crush" or perhaps even "YOU NEVER KNOW".
    5. ANY extended live version of "Blue Water". Please.

ahh, MUCH better than simply loafing on constant, yet greatly appreciated, member praise...that's no way to live...comments? additions?

I also do love Shotgun though, the first version with the sweet lyrics.. bring those back!

I also love Shotgun... The version at Hershey wasn't as complete as some of the previous ones though. Some people are saying that Shotgun is already their most disliked song in the Most disliked thread... That's CRAZY

That being said, in my infinite boredom at work I decided to put together a painfully-tentative track listing for what should be DMB's strongest and most epic album since BTCS, and any constructive/destructive criticism is gratefully welcome.

    1. Crazy-Easy - would be a great opener, and could easily adapt itself to be a brilliant studio favorite.
    2. Kill the King - sans organ, add Butch on keys in the chorus, cleaned up and Track 2 to stand as the opening energetic hook to the album.
    3. REVAMPED Hello Again - would include "She was my..." intro, and would be much closer to the live version we all know and love...I still consider this tune unreleased, as what "Stand Up" had to offer was not the same song.
    4. Idea of You - another potential single, and would fit well in the first half of the album.
Hidden Bonus Segue: CAN'T STOP clip - should not be a full song, as it is not and should not be, but could be very cool leading into...
    5. REVAMPED Joyride - Awesome tune, much better live, maybe could somehow capture that live experience in the studio (screw the previous B-Side).
Hidden Bonus Segue: clip from revamped DOOBIE THING. Please?
    6. SUGAR WILL - (w/ TREY) perfect mid-set epic, tightened up and fit into perhaps a 7-8 minute window.
    7. Break Free - would like to have a different...intro...as well as...verse...but chorus is amazing, and would be a pretty cool way to kick off the second half.
    8. NEW SONG inspired by an older tune, ala "Prelude to Grace" or "Crazy".
Hidden Bonus Segue: perhaps an instrumental clip from "Loving Wings"?
    9. NEW SONG...period. Tough to tell now, but necessary and hopefully something thought-provoking yet upbeat...that's all I got.
    10. NEW SONG - Something from the current studio sessions...got nothin'.
    11. GOOD GOOD TIME - (w/Tim on lead) could be brilliant...good, upbeat near-closer, and with TIM back would be enough to satisfy die-hards.
Hidden Bonus Segue: Instrumental Shotgun Intro - satisfies the instrumental advocates, sets apart a beautiful piece of music.
    12. Epic, EPIC SHOTGUN - The new Bartender...will just be incredible, just wait and see.
And just for kicks...Hidden Bonus Track: #40 tease, ala "Last Stop Reprise"

Perhaps a few more segues, and a little more variation...any thoughts?
I too wrote down a "perfect" next album with an intro that would lead into a small jam with hints of #40. The album would exit where the intro started with the hidden bonus track #40 after the last track. Good to see someone else is on the same page!
