you can still love Roi and classic DMB even if you think some 3.0 performances are the best versions of songs

I'm cool with that. But by default the best version of the Stone with Jeff isn't as good as the best version with Roi. Period.
I've listened to a lot of Stones. I have yet to hear one as special, trying to put all bias aside. It's special. There are a lot of really great Stones out there. There isn't a bad one. This one's better than them all. It really just is.

    9/2/00 is best stone IMO

SPAC 09 is top 5 for sure. Happy it’s getting that release

I'll give it a listen. Not a fan of 2000 Stones too often, generally speaking, but I can't recall this one.

I'd have to go back and listen to be honest.

Listener Supported was solid. There was a good one with Bela, 5.21.99 maybe? 2004 had a bunch of good ones, 9.12.04 rings a bell. Red Rocks in 05. Just a few off the top of my head.

I'm certainly biased since SPAC is my "home" venue and the place where I've seen the majority of my shows, but man, that performance of The Stone in 2009 will always stay with me as one of my top moments from any concert ever.

The roughly 7:00 - 8:00 mark of this video is the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liBy...ature=youtu.be

Thrilled with the selections. Finally get some great stuff from 7.25.01 and that broken things from ‘12. I didn’t get the email tho. Anyone else not get it?

hopefully because it sounds good and was a better recording. the Broken Things on the last WH disc sounds bad. and it was voted on, so maybe they took that into consideration.

Full disclosure, I was there and I am biased, but it would be tough to find another Stone that competes on all levels with 6/13/09. Perhaps there's better Can't Help Falling in Love interpolations and outro's, but in totality I'm not sure others compete with it. Everything was on point.

That Stone is really good, and sound phenomenal on Live25.

But, assuming they do a good job with the mix and mastering for this upcoming WH disc, I still think SPAC 09's tops it. It's also 4 minutes longer, for whatever that's worth.

I'd like to compare this 09 stone with jeff's first stand-in show in 2008. first show without roi, opened with stone, was a great performance.

I remember that Hershey show in 06. OAR opened and almost got booed off of the stage. Then DMB tore it up, Boyd had a monster show. Glad to see that making it on there. The SPAC tracks are always epic for me.

Just listened to the tape, it's solid.

I'd guess it was picked since its less than 4 min

Apparently that's not a valid opinion. Nothing can be better without Roi, somehow.

    But you're correct.
