Should have focused on PAPR, N95s, and face shields from the start. Those provide real protection to the people who need it and require minimal expertise to operate. Should have definitely used field hospitals for what we built them for.

We’re all just watching and waiting now. I don’t think that’s different here than anywhere else in the world.

But does obesity rates correspond with spread? I'm not sure if that's how it works. If you're talking mortality, sure, there's a case to be made. But as far as trends go for new cases and positivity rate, that's a bit independent from underlying health issues of Americans - there's clearly something going on; I have my ideas but was wondering if muskie still thinks it's just bad luck that US has cases growing while our peers do not.

This is a good point, good call there. I don't disagree with you though that the difference in our cases versus Europe or the world is likely due to a variety of factors, including an inability to wear a fucking mask.
