Great tune, at least an 8.

Re: Samurai Cop - 20 Months Later

    Here's my issue...

These are my song stats based on the 20 DMB/D&T shows I've seen over the past 24 years:

    Satellite 11
    Ants Marching 11
    #41 11
    Samurai Cop 10
    Jimi Thing 10
    Two Step 10
    Don't Drink the
    Water 9
    Warehouse 8
    Crush 8
    Tripping Billies 7

Granted we did go to six shows on this tour, but from June 2016 through July 21 2018 I saw SC 10 times. I won't get into the songs that I love that I've yet to hear live at all, let alone those that I've yet to hear DMB do. These other songs aren't necessarily better (not trying to have that discussion), but they are older and more plays makes sense.

I get that Dave really likes the tune and I'm not really bothered by set lists like many here. But it has joined Ants, Satellite, DDtW, and Billies as songs that I'm not eager to hear again, just in a FAR shorter time frame. Still great songs, I've just heard them enough. That said, always love Two Step, Crush, and Warehouse...and always enjoy Jimi and 41.

I don't think it's that good of a song, when compared to the rest of their catalog. But others dig it, and that's cool.

Out of curiosity, what kept you away from DMB 2001-2015? And why so many recent shows?
