I just want the band to ignore every single song post 04 besides a few like break free, KTK, Shotgun, LIHOG, Broken Thing or IOY

Yea, it's almost as if this isn't what anyone is asking for when we have issues with the sets.

If you told me each setlist would be different, it would consist of songs from 2004 and earlier, and there'd be a violin, I'd probably go see a show again. Other than that I'm just kind of over it.

Not for me. Let's wait until they are truly a nolstalgia act. So, under this scenario, all three nights of the gorge are complete repeats?

You know the saying "wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up first"? What we see is what we get with DMB. Dave isn't going to cater to those of us on here, its sad fact, but true nonetheless. If we want to still follow DMB, this is what it is. If we want to pine for the good old days (which are never coming back) we can stop following and just listen to old shows.

It's cute you think they'd still be playing three nights at the Gorge if it got to this point.

this has been probably said dozens if not hundreds of times on this site but the 2019 tour will be interesting to see what songs from Come Tomorrow stay, if the setlists are any different than 2018, etc etc.

If you can add Drive In Drive Out to that list, I'm in.

Basically all song from R2T -> BTCS are in play, I'd go see 2 shows like I did this year. Maybe more depending on the venues.

Not surprised that those who are defending this tour are also down on this idea. Doesn’t fit the narrative.

If they're skipping Kansas City and St. Louis now (like they did this year), this kind of setlist is the only thing that would get me to travel for a show. I'd absolutely travel to see a show or two if I was guaranteed to hear their best stuff.

Come Tomorrow has some great songs on it. They’re still writing good stuff (maybe at a trickle now, but enough to make me look forward to the future with this band). No, I would be disappointed if they became a band that a few on this site wants them to be.

It's not that hard. Add four or five more songs to the set and spread them out amongst the newer albums.

Pretty lame to say that the predictability would ruin the experience for you. You guys can go ahead and get off on wondering if they'll open with TGIY or A&A. I'll take The Stone no matter what.

No interest at all. I can do this by putting together a set of Live Trax recordings.

    But there’s really unpredictability now

I just dont want them to be a greatest hits band. I'd be fine if they played an all 90's tour and all songs that debuted in that time frane were on the table and not played in literally the same order each night.

This is what most rock bands that have been on the road more than 20+ years does. Really DMB, Phish plus Dead and Co. are the only ones left that still have predictably left in the sets (not sure about Pearl Jam and the like).

I have seen some other bands over the years and all you get are the radio hits plus the current album tracks that they just released.

If they did this for one show, or perhaps a Red Rocks deal and played perhaps the first 4 albums (RTT and the Big 3) all over 3 nights or so, that would be pretty cool and I would be really tempted to go.

Who cares if they become that? Are you worried about what the haters say? Dmb has been getting trashed for decades.

People aren’t traveling nearly as much anymore anyway though. Ticket sales and locations in general are down or flat out gone.

Why not play your best songs so your local show is great. It’d also help if the jams weren’t so scripted. If James actually were different night in and night out maybe the idea would appeal to more of us.
