I mean if you're into mellow old school Dave and Tim, on a pristine sounding recording, it's awesome.

    yeah that's probably not happening...

haha! IF this made sense, DMB would make sure that we didn't get it anyways. They don't release things on a logical schedule. I fully believe decisions get made on dart boards with their management.

When's a good day for WATM to get released? 6 months after we announce we're working on a studio album and have a gift for the fans? Nah, let's throw this dart and see.. Hmm, let's go back to the dart board... how about 2 and half years from now? Ya. That's good.

Should we follow suit and release BTCS 20th anniversary on the 20th anniversary year like we did with UTTAD and Crash? Hmm, nah let's do it 5 years later.

I realized I am overall quite happy with the volumes 60+, excluding 62, probably.

Vol.60: Great 95 show, I was enthusiastic like everyone else here
Vol:61: Some excellent versions, and quite good to be a 2005 show
Vol.63: Alpine Valley 2012, good representation of that year
Vol.64: Gund Arena 2000, great performance, great Live Trax
Vol.65: I almost called it, that June 97 with Béla is top DMB
And even the last WH release, 2002.07.29, is a well chosen gig, I love it.

I am even thinking, considering the increase of quality in respect to the previous decade, that they put someone else to make these choices.

I think 61 is shockingly good. fan of the mix. But also i think the 05 shows age well because we just dont hear those songs anymore. So they're unique and I'm not a Stand Up hater--that's my bias

If they were to release any 2005 show, it should be SF night 2. And include the unreleased soundcheck song, they record all their soundchecks.

When I spoke of passing on several of the sixties so far, I should amend several to couple as 61 and 62 are the ones I've passed on. I have the others and have ordered 65.

Speaking of the management's seemingly inconsistent decision-making, the selection of 62 as a year-ending, specialty vinyl pick still feels odd. Especially when 60 seems to have the feel of the year-ending picks like 50, 54, and 58 in that they were well-known, heavily requested fan favorites. Almost as if Coran told an intern to send the "Ohio" show over for vinyl production and then later on discovered the wrong one was sent so they roll with it and just release 60 mid-year instead... Of course that could all be wrong and the shows were released as selected, but then we're back to weird decision-making either way.

    7.21.2005 looks swell. Also has a #34.

Ya, it's on odd choice for a "special" release. I think you must be spot on with a mistake of some kind because 60, 62, and 64 were all Ohio shows. That seems like a slight bias from someone making these decisions, or someone made a mistake with one. I mean even if someone had said, Ohio isn't getting good representation overall in the LT releases 3 out of 5 in just over year is kind of wild.

It definitely feels like someone has played some favoritism with the run of Ohio picks, but who knows, perhaps sales have born that out as good strategy. Having two of them be vinyl selections probably helps that out.

There are other Ohio shows I’d wish they’d release. Odd there has only been one Gorge show released as a LT.

Ya, I'm not sure why they keep the Gorge shows under wrap. There are many good years there that I think would be fan favorites to have official versions of. You'd think in the mid 60's of the LT series, we'd have one or two less Ohio and atleast one more Gorge...

Perhaps. I'd find it odd that people bought them at any more or less than other releases simply because of the state. Now shows like SPAC, Alpine or The Gorge, (venue specific) I could see. But as you said, 2 of the 3 were the holiday/vinyl release.

In one of these threads someone said Ohio ranked high for number of warehouse members. So maybe they were banking on people buying shows they were at?

I also think it’s odd they’re aren’t more gorge releases. Plenty to choose from and a lot of good shows in general.
