The WH should really sell replica ticket stubs for a few bucks to all their shows for fans who only had digital tickets. Pearl Jam did this in 2018 for their shows and it was great. It's really annoying to have gaps in that ticket book the WH gave out to members years ago.

Alpine is always great, some of my best memories have happned there. N1 I was with 2 first timers, N2 with my high school buddy. Get in the lots early and just enjoy your surroundings, it can’t be beat. The shows later are just a bonus. I enjoyed both of them by the way, so glad they were back!

There have probably been other videos posted already, but here is a video I made of Eric Krasno's solo on Lie in Our Graves. Check to see what quality it's playing at. Use at least 1080p. It should process up to 4K eventually, but the 1080p should be fine.

I am flying tomorrow to NY (which I have never seen). Going to Central Park tomorrow night to see Barenaked Ladies. Relaxed sightseeing on Thursday. Heading to Saratoga Springs on Friday morning. Any recommendations?

Not OP, but had similar challenges. Was in pit night 1. Standing at back of pit directly in line with Stefan. Bass was overpowering and drowning out the horns and keys.

every time i have had a digital ticket, i have gone to the box office, said my phone is old and can't get it to work, and i have asked for and been given a printed ticket. i did this for n2.

these were my first shows since 2018, first at alpine since 2016, and 26th/27th band shows overall. it was good to be back on the hill again. i have had a terrible few weeks, including my dad passing at the start of june and my truck shredding its serpentine belt on my way over to alpine on friday evening, but i was still able to make it work. and i am sure glad i did. i will not lie- the pig opener on n1 is exactly what i needed to hear at that moment - 'there's bad times, but that's ok... don't burn the day away' - and i couldn't hold it in anymore. that song will have a whole new meaning and memory for me going forward. and the primary reason i bought tix at all for these shows was because dreaming tree popped up in the rotation early in the tour and i'd have been mad at myself if they played it and i didn't go. when those opening notes started i lost it again, and it was just such a good, much needed emotional release. as for the rest of the song selection, i think these sets were a good mix for what dave matthews band is in 2022, and with that said i damn sure am going to be thankful about getting 8 before these crowded streets songs - pretty much everything in rotation right now - over these two nights given some of the other stuff that has been appearing in sets this year. and it's true what i've read other people say of other shows on here - sledgehammer absolutely got the loudest crowd reaction. go figure.

to my good friends dave & alissa, and new friends aaron (n1), tom & kate, and captain kirk (n2)- if you happen to be reading this, you guys have no idea how much your kindness, camaraderie, and love meant to me this weekend. this whole weekend was made much more memorable and cathartic for me because you all were a part of it. thank you so much.

Finally got home and have some time to unwind and revisit this past weekend...

As I mentioned in between shows, N1 was one of the best shows I've seen by the band and it was my favorite show of the Buddy Strong era. With that comes the expectation that N2 was going to have some landmines and it certainly did.

Opening w TGIY was honestly fine for me because we knew it was coming and when you follow it up with Granny and The Stone, I had completely forgotten about it. However, this would have been my lowest "score" of the entire tour given how many -1's and 0's there were but I'm not gonna act like I didn't have a great time.

The Stone and Dreaming Tree are my 2 favorite songs by this band and they played them both. We also missed Funny, DYR, and She. The issue was they were replaced with Stolen Away, Ocean & The Butterfly (this needs to stay far away from full band settings) and some other songs I could take or leave like Sweet & Sledgehammer, in addition to the expected Can't stop and You And Me.

The other thing that left me feeling meh after the show is ending the set with Stay and then the encore with Watchtower. They literally just did that N2 in '19 the last time they were there. Dave usually does a much better job of mixing that stuff up. No triplets, Ants, Billies, Break Free, or Break For It was surprising and those could have helped in place of the songs I mentioned above

All of that being said, I cannot wait for them to go back there. That venue is special and the energy at that show N1 revitalized my fandom a bit. I only go to one 2-night stand a year and I wish I could do this one again right now. Unfortunately they'll probably be back to their Chicago rotation next yr but this weekend gave me that feeling again of "I'm never missing them at Alpine ever." Hope ya'll had a good weekend as well.
