2 nights? Seems ambitious. Also no tailgating.

But at least it's in LA and not the OC!

I went to the Hollywood Bowl show in 2018 and had a great time. 2 nights to close the tour? Super tempting. I see there is no premier/VIP parking this year though. We had that in 2018 and it was amazing. Separate line to get in so avoided traffic, valet took our car literally a few steps from a backside entrance that was like 100 feet from our seats, and separate line to get out after the show. I heard some places are trying to reduce parking to encourage people to take public transportation and such. I wonder if that's what is happening here.

Parking there is horrifying. Usually, we just park at Hollywood and Highland and walk up.

Yeah, I remember the traffic, which is why I was so impressed with the premium parking. Guess it will be different this time, oh well.

So excited! Although to your OC comment, I actually really liked both Irvine Meadows and FivePoint. Small, intimate venues.

Yeah, bummed at no FivePoint. That pit was amazing.

Stinks I can't even get excited about my home venue.

Well, it's not ideal but the venue is so much better so it's worth it!

And I run into friends in the parking lot so...

    true.

I'd be happy if it was at the soccer stadium downtown.

Yes. Super bummed we won't be back in that Irvine pit this year!

Not crazy about traveling up to LA on a Mon/Tues. Don't really care for the Bowl as it's a logistically troublesome venue.

May head out for these shows, Hollywood Bowl is somewhat of a bucket list venue to see. Staying in hotels down the street a bit a safe option? Easy walk from that area?

Hollywood Bowl is fantastic. I've been there twice: once for DMB and once for La La Land the movie performed with a live orchestra that was conducted by the composer of the score for the movie. The scenery is gorgeous and it's upscale. They let people bring their own food into the venue. In the lower level box seats they have tables that can be setup before the show and then put away when the show starts. It almost becomes a competition between people over who can bring the best pre-show meal. Some people bring tablecloths and full-on gourmet meals in a basket. It's amusing to watch.

Yeah wife and I have wanted to check out a show there and she’s always wanted to check out LA. Might consider chula before and then LA for a few days cause we love SD also

The Hollywood Bowl pit is absolutely INCREDIBLE. So small, so intimate. I got to shake his hand. Nicest people. No aggression.

To be fair, I hadn’t been in the Hollywood Bowl pit, a few rows behind. So that makes sense as it was small looking!

So excited! Been to 2 (3?) DMBowl shows now and they all were exceptional. 10 minute walk from a friend's house. Only downside is the super strict early curfew. Other than that, thrilled for the tour closer! (And fingers crossed for Garden or Terrace.)

The hotels on Highland are fine. They are always packed with people who traveled for whatever show is playing there.

Thanks. Not looking for anything fancy more convenient so they may work and not have to deal with traffic.

Yea, I park at Hollywood and Highland and walk up to the bowl. It's about a 15-20 min walk. On that walk I always pass by a bunch of hotels. You should stay at one of those.

I haven't seen DMB in Cali since the 2005 San Fran shows, but my requests are now in for these shows. Buddy of mine who got me to go to my first show 20 years ago and ignited the DMB addiction recently moved to LA, so planning to hit our first shows together since Alpine 2006! I look forward to partying with you all under the Hollywood sign in roughly 7.5 months.

Looking for advice from those that have been to the venue.

I've never been to HB and I'm trying for a single ticket for both nights, unfortunately I let my WH membership lapse years ago so I'm trying on Ticketmaster. What is the furthest section from the stage that you would consider to be a decent seat where the sound is still loud and good?

What sections on the seating chart does the WH $124.50 price level apply?

I stayed at BLVD when I went to the Hollywood Bowl show in 2018. Super easy walk and a nice enough place I thought. Would definitely recommend.

Never been west of Texas; booked the Best Western near the venue and flight from Newark. Warehouse requests are in. I'd love to catch a game at SoFi on Sunday (if not, maybe lunch in Santa Monica,) a studio tour on Monday and maybe a Kimmel taping on Tuesday before the shows.

It's quite literally a bowl, so it sounds truly incredible from any seat. I sat up in the Ws for John Williams one year and I might as well been sitting on the stage.
