what will be the Next Single off of WATM?

what do you think the next single will be off of WATM? its interesting that the band announced the album 4 months out with a single. CT had 4 singles all leading up to the release of the album, with 1 single coming out every 2 weeks. i'm gonna assume that that schedule was altered after BT left the band and then crammed / rushed everything last minute. so i'm gonna guess we'll have 1 new single each month leading up to the release of the album.

My guesses are:

2nd Single = The Only Thing
3rd Single = The Ocean and The Butterfly
4th Single = Singing From The Windows (easy narrative to setup for a story with talk shows, NPR, blogs and news outlets to tie-in the pandemic with the release)

Windows wouldn't shock me since I figured it would be the first single. I hope it's Break Free, though; that song has the signature DMB "radio" vibe, IMO.

I would hate it as a single, but I went with STTMB. Just seems like something Dave would do.

I think WATM. Then maybe one of the short ones if they are upbeat. It would be best chance to maximize plays and be a "hit" imo

hmm i was thinking TOT and that'll probably be it. but i could see them releasing Windows in late Feb/early March for the reason you said OP --- set up Dave doing the talk show circuit and playing solo to get the album on the public's radar. then release TOT late April/early May to get the summer vibes/album release/tour kickoff going.

There’s an adult alternative station in the Ann Arbor area that plays quite a bit of DMB. I’ve heard American Baby, Too Much, Two Step, Jimi Thing and I Did It on that station. I don’t live in Michigan anymore, so not sure if they were playing Samurai Cop in 2018 or if they’re playing Madman’s Eyes now.

Oh yeah you’re right, I forgot about that version. But to be honest, I don’t why artists still release singles after album launch. Back in the day it was for radio play, but it’s still a common practice in the music industry

Madman's Eyes is currently #41 (haha) on the Triple A chart. Today is the official add date. so several stations jumped on board early

That would be very surprising. We had 3 before Come Tomorrow.
