I can’t speak to other companies/platforms, but buying algo gets yo voting rights not only within the platform (that’s the whole idea of proof of stake and decentralization), but also within the ecosystem of what the company does with some of its profits, ie the transfer fees are all pooled into a giant pot to be redistributed at a later date, a potential equivalent of dividend, etc.

So it basically is like owning a stock.

Weird day throughout the market. Tech got hammered. S&P is on a 5 day losing streak. The Dow was flatish.

By no means an expert or even that knowledgeable but I think the scenario with Tesla is that it’s generally been overvalued compared to its market share and actual profitability. A lot of fan boys and people that think Elon can do no wrong just keep buying so I think this is just a bit of a correction to actual value? It was a squeeze before GME et al. I still imagine it will stay as a good stock and add value especially with the space-x stuff and the satellites making truly autonomous driving a possibility and with them maybe doing self driving ride share cars in the future but way down the line still.

This is pretty spot on. With so many companies pushing all electric cars, Tesla is no longer the only game in town. Plus they’ve had their share of quality control issues with fit and finish over they years, which is understandable starting a car company from the ground up. I do think their future is bright especially with Elon’s other companies.

Yeah, I thought that last spring. Elon is too wacky and his behavior was too volatile for me to wait out 2 shares of an $800 stock to go up significantly enough to make some money (so I sold). Since last year the stock split by 8 and went back to $800. I'm not saying it'll do that again but selling because of a dip is a dumb move. This isn't a sunken cost when it's down for a few weeks.

Oddly enough a co-worker and I were taking today about Elon’s personality being a major hindrance. He as a public persona becomes negative but the ideas and push forward gives me some hope. I do agree he has a bit more negative qualities then positive.
