I mean, if it bothers you that much, one would think the natural response would be to hire a psychologist/therapist to go talk to and get it sorted out or at least manage it.

Yeah I'd say an insecure professional athlete would be likely to seek out a therapist. That makes sense.

No idea who Cain is but he falls right in line. Espn pretty much only employs people who can't talk without shouting. Can't take any of them too seriously.

Great attempt by his PR team to spin things a year later.

This screams, "I wish people would just like me again and not call me a ring chaser."

So what if KD is a ring chaser? I'd rather be a successful ring chaser than a ring virgin.

Even though KD only spent a year playing for University of Texas, I wondered how much it bothered him to be so close to University of Oklahoma.

I mean, he very clearly cares that people think the bolded about him.

Why would it bother him being close to Oklahoma?

Texas and Oklahoma are rivals. Sooners don't really care for Longhorns (except for KD when he played for them).

Kevin Durant played college basketball at the University of Texas.
The University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma are rivals.
The University of Oklahoma's campus is about 30 minutes from downtown OKC.
Most people who live in OKC are University of Oklahoma fans.
The Oklahoma Thunder played their home games in downtown OKC.
Hence, most of the fans of the team that KD played professionally for, were also fans of the rival school that he was an alumni from.

And you think they didn't like KD for that reason?

Most fans of college teams probably don't give a shit where their pro team's best player went to school. Especially when said player contributed to them being a relevant franchise as much as KD did.

Nothing to do with what the fans thought
Maybe KD didn't like playing for fans who root for the college that is his college's rival.

I have a really hard time believing a guy who only played two games against Oklahoma in his college career developed that much of a passion for the rivalry.

It's rare that college rivalries extend to anything more than friendly trash talking, even amongst players who played against each other in college rivalries.

Wiggins signing a 5 year, $148 mil max extension with Minnesota. Not that smart for the TWolves, going to be royally fucked two years from now.

That's a bad trade for Cleveland. Wiggins is solid, but Love is on a much better contract. Not usre I would even do that trade without the pick if I were Cleveland.
