We fly out of Orlando on 2/13 on Jetblue direct flight. Depart 2pm, land at 4pm. Last time we went there was a shit ton of DMB fans on the plane. Was pretty cool.

Guys...Im getting irrationally excited. My wife has has gone down the etsy rabbit hole and Alexa has been playing various D&T shows every morning while we get ready for work. I dont post on here a ton but I have been a member since 2002 and always lurking. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in person, sharing a drink and some great memories.

We are arriving Wednesday. The extra $$ and vacation day hurts but having an extra N0 and being able to secure dinner reservations for Thursday make it worth it. And with a new resort... learn our way around.

D&T in Mexico is tied up there with my honeymoon and maybe Thailand as my best life experiences, ever. And we go to a lot of shows and travel...

It's just indescribable. CID does one HELL of a job. It's all the best things tied up into one weekend - tropical weather, beautiful beaches and pools, all the drinks your heart desires, amazing people, and of course, Dave & Tim sets.

Everyone is arriving this week for Dead & Co so I'm looking forward to seeing their photos and trip reports with the new resort. Will report back here.

I've been reading your posts about reservations.

What is the place everyone is trying to get into? We literally have ZERO plans and are interesting in a nice dinner.

Since this is a new resort I don’t think anyone bows anything about the restaurants to be honest!

This is your honeymoon 10 years later? Congrats?

My wife and I are indescribably excited for this. It's the kickoff to our 5 month cross county road trip. First stop, D&T in Mexico and then directly to New Orleans for Mardi Gras!

We should all definitely schedule an ants meet up!

My wife and I went the first two years (she was pregnant last year so we couldn't go). Anyway, during the first year, we realized quickly the lunch and dinner buffets were pretty bad so on Day 2 we got reservations at a different restaurant each night without a problem. There were so many options that if a particular place or time was booked, we'd just find something else. I remember liking every spot we tried except for the seafood place, which was just ok.

While it's not at Barcelo any more, I would expect it'll be a similar experience.

fyi the breakfast buffets weren't bad because you could get things like eggs made-to-order.

another pro-tip I've given in years past: if you like fruity drinks, take some fresh fruit to-go from the breakfast buffet and then later when you're boozin it up on the beach, have the bartenders squeeze, crush, blend, muddle, whatever your fruit into your drink instead of the shitty "fruit" syrup they normally pour out of those nondescript white bottles. Haha! Yup. We did the whole “let’s get established” thing. For too long. Grad school and then career.

We figured this is as good of a time as any! No more excuses!!!

Pretty thorough scopes posted last night from Dead & Co N1. Lottery process, rooms, beach overview, etc.
General thoughts were rooms and food are better at this resort. Venue nicer at Barcelo.
Venue looks super narrow and long compared to Barcelo.

I've been talking to quite a few people down there right now as well and lots of great photos on Instagram.

I think there were some hiccups with the VERY first show, but there are 6 more shows before ours so I have faith they will work it out

Dead and Co sold out right away

Dave and Tim still has rooms available

My guess is Dead is much more crowded and well attended than Dave will be.

Agree, I read somewhere someone estimated the Dead and Co crowd at like 8000. I know we seem to estimate Dave and Tim at like 5k or so. I guess we'll see soon.

I think the max at Barcelo was 6k. New venue could be more?

I expect around 4500-5k max at Dave and Tim.

The beach shots of Barcelo and Moon Palace for PITS look pretty similar to me. Im sure there will be quite a few less folks there for D&T which is just fine by me.

The one thing that stood out to me is it seems the walking times are quite a bit longer than advertised with most saying it was at least a 30 min walk from Sunrise to the venue.
