**A Concert for Charlottesville** 9/24/17

Glad I grabbed a hotel a couple of weeks ago. Here's hoping to getting tickets.

*Also, too lazy to go find all the quotes where people said there wasn't a chance the full band was playing this year.

boy, are people reslly thinking tickets will be hard to come by? I'd be shocked if you could not walk up day of show and get in.

I can't tell if serious post or not. A handful of these acts on the lineup would fill that stadium when tickets aren't even free.

If this was a DMB show only, yes. But like Sarah said, look at all the other artists that are there. This will sell out (or, run out, rather, of free tickets)

Yeah, UVA enrollment is 22K, plus locals and surrounding counties, I don't see much left over for us non-locals. May be able to pay from a local day of.

Cville is an easy sell to the gf with all the wine/ breweries/ scenery involved
sunday is a tough ask
will happily give my tix away if i score a pair
or perhaps sell them and donate the $ to a cville based charity? something tells me that would ruffle some feathers though

Yeah this is gonna bring a ton of people within a couple hours drive. JT, Grande and Pharrell will make this really appealing to college aged kids and young adults

Right. This will be one of the hardest DMB tickets, ever.

Between the students and all of the students at nearby schools who have family or are from VA to request tickets, this lineup appeals to everyone.

I hope to be able to attend, but getting a ticket is going to be a challenge!

There is an event listing but it says

"A Concert for Charlottesville is a charity benefit event. In keeping with the charity purpose of this event, we will not allow sales of tickets to this event"

This is going to be difficult to get otherwise

I put in a request for tickets even though I can't go. The tickets are free, but I will have to pay 15.00 in fees if I do get approved.

Will we be allowed to sell the "free tickets" for the 15 bucks in fees it cost to get them? I don't want to end up stuck with them if I do get some

I guess I am too DMB-centric in my thinking. I hope the place is packed and am sure it will reflect well on Dave and the guys.

And, after thinking more last night, I got more enthused. I am now tempted to try and get a ticket.

With the short notice, do you think they will have posters? Merchandise? I would assume they could make a killing off this stuff, and food, and raise a big dollars. I see where Starr Hill is one of the sponsors. Would they have a special release like for the 25th anniversary show and mini-posters? Also would assume Blenheim would have some special events. I know Dave showed up the evening before the 25th anniversary show. I assume the downtown area and the university will also have special stuff going on. With the show not till late Sun afternoon, all kinds of time prior that weekend for events and stuff to do. All that, and such a worthy cause.

Considering people have had trouble literally giving uppers away at past JPJ shows in C-ville, yea, I'd say DMB would have trouble filling a football stadium on their own.

I'm sure there will be a poster. Methane can drag and drop their clip-art on short notice, no problem.
