We are Sec 114 N1 and Sec 109 N2 (to the direct left and right of the stage, mirroring each other). While not ideal, we're looking forward to it and think the sound should be great!

I just read NYC is requiring vaccinations for indoor dining, gyms, and indoor performances..... if anyone isn't vaxxed and wants to unload their pit/floor tickets let me know!

Yup August 16th they are launching this program with an app

September 13th they are enforcing it at all indoor entertainment venues, resturants, gyms, etc.

ISO 1 floor (pit or seated) ticket for each night so I can tape. Will give clamp space to the other tapers of course. WH gave me an upper for these two shows.

The app is specific for New York City/State of NY where I believe you will be able to pre upload proof of a vaccination to get easier access in and out of indoor venues.

However for those that don't use the app venues will still accept a vaccination card that is reviewed by security/staff.

I went to a New York Knicks playoff game a few months back at MSG and at that time there was no app and they checked everyone's vaccination cards (or negative PCR tests for limited sections at that time). I think this time MSG will check for vaccination cards now or have you pull up your app.

It's crazy how much has changed just in the last few weeks, esp here in NYC. Hard to imagine what things will be like by November...but like you said, hopefully better!

Exactly. NYC or here on Long Island it is getting crazy again. It changes like every day. Hard to worry about what is going to happen in 3 months time. Have high hopes but will see how it plays out

I love DMB as much as anyone here. We enjoy not only the music but meeting up with friends from ants and people you only see at shows. I'm not an anti Vaxxer nor a science denier but I am very conflicted about downloading an app run by NYC and putting medical information into it just to see Dave. Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I the only one who feels that's a bit much for me to just go to a concert?

I agree it is a bit much but unfortunately i think this is the times we live in now. I was not worried about using the app. All i had to do is put the dates of my vaccinations. Not my social. I did have to put my birthday. I just can't go through life wondering or saying i can't do this or that cause someone might steal my information. Believe me, if someone wanted to steal it, they would have it. They can get all your information by going on websites. Just bring your card then if you are that uncomfortable. I heard a lot about people faking vax cards which to me is stupid. It is a federal crime for something so simple. SMH

Correct. Most of my friends that went to the Foo Fighters concert showed their vaccination card vs the QR code on the app.

nope, not at all.

I'm vaxxed, and have no problem telling people.

I also do not want to download an app or government database to log my info into.


you can still just show your paper vaxx card, so I'm good as long as it stays that way.

Yeah but with the surge of fake cards, which let's be serious, it's just a paper card. No security to it. They will stop taking the cards and will begin comparing your dose lot to the date you claim to have been vaccinated.

I hope by November this is all moot and we can enjoy the shows.

I'd love nothing more than to digitize it into a government app or something that I can show nationwide but there is such opposition to that idea that I guess it won't ever happen. It'd simplify so much if I was able to have an app that in one click had my blood type, basic insurance info, vax info, allergies, etc that I could quickly show.

I live in the south, who is so far behind on everything, that we will never get anything this innovative. I was jealous of the New York pass that people showed at MSG, when I had to take my actual paper vax card.

Just a heads up. The Internation Car Show at Javitt’s Center later in August was cancelled yesterday due to Delta Variant concerns.

I think all August shows + Gorge (outdoor shows) will be fine. I do see September to November getting interesting with regards to requirement etc.

To reiterate, 70% of US Adults 18+ will be fully vaccinated by September 1st. Absolutely zero reason to cancel shows.
