The MP3 are from the SiriusXM stream. I did it really quickly, so I hope that everything is okay

Weird, but that makes since I guess. We were in the last two rows right in the middle of the pavilion (not under the roof) so there were speakers right above us, as well. Maybe that's why it sounded so good. Felt like the sound waves of those first notes of #41 moved through me.

Is it possible they’ve had some personnel changes in the sound department? I though 18/19 they sounded fantastic .. great mixes and was honestly like how does it sound so good?

I haven’t been to a show yet but it seems like the consensus is you can’t hear the instruments well … it has to be intentional at this point.. unless there’s a new approach to how they want it to sound overall… like a new sound guy with a new school of thought on how it’s supposed to be mixed…

The live mixes in 18 and 19 weren't great. But the 18 and 19 archive streams like Cincinnati, Rogers, Montreal, etc. come from DMB sending them recordings, and outside of Sirius normalizations, will sound more like a release than the live streams which are mixed live and send as they went. If you listen to say West Palm night 1 streamed live in 2019, it sounds way worse than the Cincinnati in 2019.

I could be wrong, but I remember 2018 sounding much better than 19 and this year.

Been awhile since I listened to a 2018 from Sirius though, let alone compared them.

On Chicago night 1, Timmy gives a world tour of his playing on the graves solo - first two minutes is all just clean tone stuff that should delight old school fans before the next five mins or so builds and builds with all the other stuff….I even heard some finger tapping in there lol. Wish the mixing was a little bit better though…that’s on Sirius not on the lien soul who ripped it!

Xcacel's effort is always appreciated but I never understand the appeal of listening to the Sirius stream while the shows are happening

Couch tour: free, good audio, good video usually from the pit
Sirius: free trial then pay, bad audio, no video

Lasts nights show could have been an epic live trax. Glad we dont have to wait for it. The band was so tight. After billies there wasnt even so much as one flat note. Even the mix was good. What a treat.

Agree, although he wasn’t low at the show. Mix is much better than they have been for Sirius though.
