Oof that’s so much Tim. To be fair that still a very heavy Tim song today. Gosh it’s so bad live.

There are so many things about this mix that I hate and were a common theme from this point until Boyd was gone, not just on this song but throughout everything. Within the first second of them playing you hear a crunchiness that never existed in prime DMB and hardly ever now.

With that said, I still enjoy 1995-2007 sound the most, and mostly listen to that era. Would really recommend last weeks broadcast of 5/30/06. The set fizzed but I enjoy the band sounds
there are great performances where Boyd was on for sure. I don’t think everything from that time period is bad - I probably made it sound that way.

. I love how Dave isn’t even playing because he knows there is no point. He usually does play his guitar in Shake Me.

I’ve been on the most random Proudest Monkey kick lately. I’ve never even really been into the song that much, but I’ve been listening to it a lot the past few days. 12/31/95 is my favorite.

What is the weird pit phenomenon where by the end of the show you're roughly 15 feet from where you started but there was never any discernible movement made during the show?

There's gotta be a name for it....hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

pit drift. It's unavoidable. I've noticed it before and even when making a deliberate effort to not move my feet, it still happened.

Agreed. That song and Squirm are two of the best recordings this band has done in the last 20 years. Squirm is off the charts and deserves so much more recognition than it gets. Those recordings are both On par with Before These Crowded Streets.

How does a song as good as Crazy Easy disappear for 9 years, get played tiny bit, and then fall off the face of the planet again? What the actual @#$% Dave?

Could you imagine getting out of show with that good post show feeling, only to find that you car was set on fire. That has to be such a fucked up experience.

Jesus. I remember seeing something about this scrolling through the Almanac and I think I read a Rolling Stone article about it, but I just saw the vid for the first time. Unbelieveable.

I was listening this afternoon to a show I attended but hadn't revisited in a while. Tinley Park 2009. It's kind of a dud of a show. I'm not really sure why I'm listening to it, other than that I haven't in a long, long time. Remember when Willie was guesting on Gravedigger?

Yuck. That setlist looks horrible. 9 BW songs + Williedigger.

Glad my first DMB show wasn’t until Alpine the following year. Haha

I didn't even have to click and I knew it was Hartford. I was there those lots were insane. Some of the worst things I've ever seen have been in the Hartford lots or lawn. The 104 fests, riots at Aerosmith and the rage wutang debacle. Gotta love Hartford.

It was a nice enough time still. A DMB show in the fall in the Midwest. Can't complain. I got to go with a few of my college friends too, which was fun, and didn't normally happen for SPAC shows.

    Yeah, not the best.

BUT, Chicago 2008 (Toyota Park) opened with Dreaming Tree and had a Bela Fleck guest. Fun show.

Next night in St. Louis rounded little a fun two show experience.

I have a feeling 2020 will be the one they finally release from Mexico. Night 3 as LT w/ Blu Ray would be great. They could easily fill a bonus disc with tracks from previous Mexico performances.

Or just release a box set of all 3 nights.

I have almost zero memory of those sets. Not that it wasn’t good, but it’s been totally overshadowed by the dmb bust out show, and the whole corona situation.

Black and Blue Bird is the second best (behind VITR), or maybe even the best, song on CT.

CT is weak but I agree. I just think it’s second best behind IOY. Of corse IOYs production isn’t very good, but it’s still the best CT song.
