I missed alot of season two but can someone tell me what the president's scar on his arm was all about. What was the whole assasination attempt? Also The Heroin?? Don't understand that at all.

Season 1 was all about an assasination attempt on Palmer's life.

    Not sure about the scar.

The heroin thing will most likely be revealed to us soon, but most likely, when Jack was undercover with Salazar (a drug dealer), he did heroin so as to fit in with the role he was playing. Heroin is addictive, hence Jack is now addicted to heroin.

I find it interesting that they jumped ahead 3 years....gives the possibility to go back and cover those 3 years if needed.

I figured Jack was a Heroin addict. I'm not surprised Tony and what's-her-name are married, Kim and Chase...oo lah lah.

Also, I bet the President's Doctor Lover was a two dollar whore before she became a doctor...or she funded a terrorist organization with or without knowing it...it's going to be an awesome season.

Sweet stuff...I believe the scar on Palmer's hand and arm was from the assination attempt...on the last episode when the chick shook his hand with the poison on it.

I can't get over how good the acting and writing complement eachother. Just from his performance in episode 1 alone Sutherland should win best actor.

Seeds were planted for the season, and they're all exciting seeds. I'm really interested in how this is all going to play out. I just hope they tie it into the first two seasons. I think they will.

they will....in one of the scenes in that featured President palmer, someone said...wait, it was during the rehearsal for the debate, and they ask palmer if he is fit for the job, and palmer says the stuff about lifting weights and all that, then someone says that they caught the "two men" who made the attack....so...there's something to think about.

I just hope that this isn't another season where Kim's asinine decisions put her in peril every week.

Also, I know Fox wants more women viewers but please ENOUGH ALREADY with the relationships.

^agreed. I think her character will be controlled though. She is at CTU now, so there should be no reason for her to walk into certain death. Atleast thats what I get from it.

    thats good.

I'm still worried about Jack. I want him to kick butt this season not sit around and cry about how he wants a fix. I'm sure he still will. He looked as though he was fighting it pretty well though.
