I get it. It’s definitely lower on the sonic standards of the other albums. It did cut through at that time though (92/93). They really should remaster it.

I felt the same way about Opiate and never really listened to it until recent years. The songs are great despite how flat the sound is.

I believe there will be a standard release, but the longer they wait, the more the endless bootleg copies will saturate the market. This is, I believe, an all analog release cut by Chris Bellman, but the % of the Tool-fan vinyl market that cares is likely to be a fairly small fraction. Meaning that if someone already has a good-enough sounding bootleg, they're going to have a bad time trying to get them to re-up on an official release (especially if the pricing is out of line with the market).

Saw that earlier. Since I shelled out for the box set I am not buying the 3 LP. Sort of pissed though, I should have waited.

Undertow was my introduction to Tool and that album will always have a special place in my heart. Many nights were spent smoking bongs and listening to Undertow at high volume in my friend's basement

I want to love Fear Inoculum but just can't. It's so meandering, and there's no edge to it whatsoever.

I've said the same thing about the most recent APC and Puscifer albums too. Maynard has just gone soft IMO.

I love both Fear Inoculum and Eat the Elephant. Now, they are still both the bottom of the list for each band… but still great. And 7empest might be Adam Jones best work. Never got into Puscifer.

Saw Tool in Loveland last night. Was awesome as always.

I LOVE how they don't allow phones/cameras until the last song. It is SO nice to not look out and see a sea of dumbfucks with their phones over their heads recording terrible videos the entire show. This should absolutely become the norm for all shows everywhere all the time.

Oh and Fear Inoculum is fucking fantastic.

Yeah Maynard said something about playing Rosetta Stoned in a long time, that was cool, but I was surprised it was so similar to the last Denver show. Took my son, his first Tool show. That was cool so I won't complain, I'll see Tool every single time they come. Justin has become my all-time fav bass player. Danny is the best drummer I've ever seen as well.

Am I the only one that is finding it odd how much they have been touring? Definitely did not expect MORE dates while they are just starting a US tour and MJK having dates with his other projects already set for next year. It’s good to see… It’s just odd to see them doing it.
