2021 Tour - Your Top 3 Cool Moments

Only shows I attended:

1. Everything about them pulling off the Gorge weekend with Carter/Fonz out. To me it reified that these guys are world class professionals and made me love Buddy who I was meh on before this.
2. MSG N1 everything about Typical - Halloween to end the night.
3. MSG N2 everything about WYA - Ants to end the night, especially the change in energy in the building after Christmas Song to Last Stop. One of those palpable things you only feel I think if you were there.

Great fucking year.

1) Seeing the band in Raleigh step out on stage for the 1st time in 17 months and the crowd as loud as I may have heard in any of my previous 75 shows.
2) Hearing Sweet Up and Down for the first time in my 76 shows
3) Buddy Strong. The man has studied the bands music during the break and you can tell. MVP of the tour

1. When they hit those first notes of #41 in Raleigh. After the summer that wasn't in 2020, to hear that music in the air again was like a weight being lifted.

2. Taking my son to his first show.

3. DDTW N2 at the Gorge. Everyone knew what we were going into by night 2--no surprises. The lawn during that song--at least where we were standing--can only be described as "primal."

3. Madman’ s eye in Columbus

In no order, and really hard to choose three so I’m cheating and just choosing overall moments.

1) Raleigh overall was special. I’m counting this night as one including grey street third verse and Brandford guesting.

2) Finally getting Seek Up. Charlotte opener was amazing.

3) Deer Creek for the first time, and I will be going back every year now. What a blast.

3. The new tunes. Cool to make new memories with these. I love Walk Around the Moon and Madman's Eyes. I think The Only Thing is pretty good. Ocean and the Butterfly ain't bad, it's different and easy on the ears.

2. LIOG from Chicago N1, Tim was stellar.

1. Listening to the 7/23 tour debut at the Vegas airport then flying back home. Just having the band back in front of an audience was amazing to hear. That #41, Grey Street, WATM debut, Nancies, Sweet, etc floored me.
