2003 Central Park Concert Promo Sign

I picked this sign up a few years ago. I loved this concert and love this sign more than any setlist, drumstick, or poster that I have in my collection. I’ve seen this sign (or a copy) on the web where Dave, Boyd, and Mayor Bloomberg were holding a press event to promote the show. It was also on display at the band’s gallery in Cville for the 25th Anniversary. Does anyone know if this is one-of-a-kind or if multiples exist? It’s not for sale; I am just look for more background if anyone as any knowledge.

I can tell you Boyd nor Dave took it back with them. The city kept it after the ceremony. I was present for that picture.

From the pictures, that’s about the right size.
Is it like half inch thick?

Yes, it’s about 1/2” in thickness. There are also two hangers on the back which align with the distance between the wires when it was hung in the Cville gallery.

Everything you posted seems to match up with the one known.
I wouldn’t be shocked if it is a one and only

    Exactly
And if he/the band was, they could make wayyyyyy more by making it known it was a one of a kind and promoting it right then just dropping in on eBay

lol. hope people aren't thinking boyd is going broke. Dude gets equal cut on any and all releases that include him, he gets a cut from all steaming services that include him, and i'm guessing he gets a cut from all their merchandise as well. Dave is too loyal to try and cut him out. Boyd is making plenty of money plus all the millions he made before leaving. I wouldn't doubt his net worth is between 15 and 30 million.

Ok? But you or anyone else doesn’t actually know what he’s doing with his money.

Maybe he’s going broke, maybe he’s not. We don’t really know anything about his financial situation either way, nor should we.

If I remember correctly from a random anecdote, I think Boyd (oddly) may have been left out of the merch cut from the beginning- it was just Dave, Carter, Leroi, and Stefan.

Unless he has a gambling problem he isn't going broke. That's why they say a gambling addiction is the worst addiction, worse than heroin. You can only do so many drugs or drink so much booze before you pass out, but you can gamble away your house and your kids college fund in Vegas in a night. Just saying.

I doubt Boyd is destitute, and the bold is not at all how music royalties work.

As you just created your account to post about this, do you have a current pic of the sign, maybe sitting next to a copy of a current newspaper?
