It's November 24th. I'll be stunned if there was another release. We'd have to hear about it today.

That’s why I’m questioning it! Seems to be down to the wire if so

The Warehouse holiday gift guide email says “free mystery Live Trax cd” with $25 purchase. Surely this is just going to be random overstock of old LTs... but how fun if it was something new?

I’m thinking something along the lines of last years LT50 + Hollywood Bowl. Maybe another DMBLive vinyl release, or something similar to the Warehouse Warmup download. Or... a new album announcement?

But you guys do have a point, an announcement would have to come this week to have a shot at another live Xmas release.

Either way, I’m totally stoked for this LT, and I’m content with only a 2CD release. Although a ‘96 Encore Trax would’ve been a sweet bundle.

I’d like an album announcement as much as anyone! Hope we get something soon

Man was not wrong, management did end up pressing LT 6 and 7 on colored vinyl which was announced as late as Monday, November 30.

I've never listened to this show, but it sounds like an awesome show from the posts I've read. How does it stack up with the multitude of other '96 shows that have been released? We have LT 4, LT 7, LT18, LT 38, and multiple DMBLive releases.

my work computer. It sounds good to me but I'm not an audiophile at all. I'm the least qualified person on the boards to determine how technically good it sounds. I like the way it sounds to my ear.

Noted change on the musictoday downloads, when you download a zip file, there's actually a progress bar with estimated time remaining. Before it would just be an infinite progress bar and the file size would increase as the file was being downloaded, lol

I’m about halfway through my first listen (currently on Too Much) and it’s a solid release but I haven’t found that one thing that sets it apart yet. I feel like every live Trax has at least one thing that makes it unique and makes me turn it up even more. Maybe it’ll show up in the second half.

Recently and Two Step are great so far, the mix sounds decent to me. Question for people who know more than i do, I bought the FLAC and used flac to any pro to convert it to ALAC. Does that retain its superiority to MP3 or no? Cuz, while I think i have a good ear for that kind of stuff I oftentimes finding that I cant really tell the difference between MP3 and ALAC.

You can tell the difference in new recordings, when you listen to a ‘96 CD it just makes no difference, even with HQ Headphones

Just finished this, pretty solid start to finish. I guess I was just expecting a bit more for how hyped this show was but overall pretty great. Two step was really good.

Side note, kinda crazy we complain nowadays about setlist variety. Back then they were playing nearly identical shows at every stop lol

Yes, ALAC is lossless and is equal to FLAC. Lots of anti-phase experiments have been done to show this.

Good mix for instruments but the mix on the crowd seems pretty subdued. Been a long time since I listened to the bootleg but I remember feeling like this had a lot of crowd emotion in it, and this LT feels like it's missing that.

Agree with this. Over-hyped which made this release disappointingly underwhelming. It’s solid, don’t get me wrong, but I saw words like “woah” and “holy grail” in this thread. Definitely not worth of those adjectives, in my opinion.
