Re: The Gorge Q&A and FAQs

Is there a shuttle from the Best Western? I have a rental car but would prefer to not worry about the drive back!

First-time Gorge here. Curious about the terrace area in the lawn. I've read earlier in the FAQ thread that it is warehouse-only, but I've also seen elsewhere there is no warehouse-only area in the lawn this year. I have WH tix. Anyone know how this is going to work? If I want to try and get terrace, do I need to do the WH early entry and sprint for the best selection?

I've read on the WH support page that the BW package does not include any transportation.

Hey all, anyone get this message? Seems like typical Warehouse, haha!

    Hello Warehouse Member!
We are very excited for the upcoming Gorge weekend. Due to
new construction at the Gorge Amphitheatre the seats
originally assigned to you no longer exist. When you arrive on
Friday, September 2nd, proceed to the box office with your
Warehouse tickets to exchange for new seat location tickets.
Thank you and enjoy the show(s)!

My friend got the tickets, so I’m honestly not sure. I think they were towards the side, either in 201 or 205.

Well they can't give you anything worse than those 2 sections...I think!

Come back and let us know what this mysterious "construction" was

Yes. That area of the lawn fills up instantly. I would line up early even if you really want to sit there.

Hey all - First-time Gorger here as well - doing an Airbnb in Quincy - anyone else driving in from that area each day? Maybe we can workout a carpool to be more efficient. Reach out if interested and hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks!

Not only does it fill up fast, the amount of wristbands they give out is considerably less than what the area can hold. Even from a comfort standpoint, they could up the numbers.

I thought you were referring to the fenced in section of the lawn for WH members? If so, then yes. I don’t think they do it for anywhere else though.

I'm bringing my 7 and 2 year old with us (we have ear protection and will be in the lawn). Do we need a ticket for the 2 year old? I've looked everywhere on their site and couldn't find it.

Also, we're coming from Leavenworth the day of the show - what's the best place to stop in Wenatchee to hang out by the water for a bit?

depends the day. Friday or Sunday he will be free, Saturday needs a ticket

Last one for tonight - I have zero confidence I can get our tribe organized in time to get a poster on Friday, is it safe to assume there will be a Gorge blanket for sale?

It is not Warehouse only, but yes you will need to do early entry with your warehouse ticket. Getting the Terrace is VERY competitive, especially if you want a full view of the stage. It also depends on how many people are in your group...just 2 and if your nice you could probably squeeze in somewhere right before the show. 4 or more, not so easy.

People also get pretty agro for the spots they got in line for hours early in high 90's weather while others drank back at camp.
Be kind always and you will be fine, one of my favorite spots to see a show because you are surrounded by dedicated fans and normally could hear a pin drop.
    Have FUN!!!!

Yea, definitely don't be the couple that walks in at showtime and tries to plop down on a tiny patch of grass in front of people who have been there all day.
I've seen that play out. It doesn't go well.

Hi. We are headed to the campsite now. Have gold parking. Anyone know if they close down the entry at a certain time? I might not get there until 9 or 10 and want to know if I need to find a hotel somewhere or if they will have someone there to check us in late.

    Thanks

Hey Gang - first time Gorge pit tickets for us this year…. What time does the pit line generally start forming? I don’t need front row but would be nice to get a decent spot…. Thanks!

Doors probably open at 3:30 (like last year), Warehouse line forms 2:30-3:20 then let in 10 minutes early. Warehouse should be posting actual times in the next few hours.

It is def earlier than other venues. Typically I can get to the pit at 6:30 and be dead center 6-8 people back. I’d say at the gorge (at least from last year) you may want to be down there even earlier than that. I know we will be.
